Aux Vivres is widely recognized as a vibrant and welcoming destination for fresh, healthy vegan cuisine that appeals to both vegans and non-vegans alike. Many diners highlight the excellent variety of flavorful dishes, particularly the popular dragon bowls, sandwiches, and tempeh-based meals, noting that portions are generally generous and satisfying. While the service is frequently described as friendly and efficient, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for socializing, some guests have noted inconsistencies in food preparation and occasional service delays. Although opinions on pricing vary and some patrons find certain seating uncomfortable or takeout availability limited, the restaurant remains a beloved staple for many seeking nutritious and delicious plant-based dining experiences.
I have had food from Aux Vivres many times (going all the way back to when they were in a small spot on saint Dominique), & while my girlfriend's order (the gyro) was tasty & a nice large portion filled with plenty of crispy lettuce, tomatoes, pickled onions & delicious tzatziki; my order, le royal cheeze, was just a disappointment. There was a sad single leaf of lettuce, single slice of tomato, & a patty that was pasty & underwhelming.
For the price I felt pretty unhappy, as I seriously could have just gone to A&W if I wanted something better than what I got.
For those interested in an amazing vegan burger experience I'd recommend not having one here, stick to their bowls (the dragon is a classic) or the wraps, & go to LOV for a burger that's worth paying 22$ for.
Very happy today with my favorite Dragon Bowl. The tempeh is super tasty & moist. The vegetables were very fresh today. Thank you for welcoming my baby in as some places make you feel like you shouldn't have come there. Since this location opened the quality has improved 100% as the tempeh was dry & the vegetables weren't the freshest but since then after a couple months things got better & better. Itsy favorite vegan resto now & close by. customer for life
Really enjoyed the visit. The tempeh tacos were the highlight - crisp, well-seasoned, great sauce & pickled onions. The curried soup was rich & comforting. The Buddha Bowl looked beautiful but had too much filler lettuce; I ended up having to deconstruct it to eat it properly. Would have preferred a smaller, tighter bowl with less greens & more of the good stuff. Service was fast & friendly. Solid spot, will be back. 4/5

Absolute Gem for vegan & vegetarian foodies! Went there twice in the same day ! Had the Buddha Bowl for lunch & then Dragon Sandwich for Diner, both were delicious, service was fast, efficient & price very reasonable.
Will 100% go back!
The food was good, but despite the restaurant being empty aside from us the service was slow & they did not refill our waters. I may order this as takeout in the future, because the bowls really were outstanding.
We were fairly disappointed with our first meal here. We had heard good things & happy to find a new vegan restaurant. The Thai bowl had good & less good parts while the Aux Vivres signature burger was a disappointment. Our second visit was so much better, we had brunch (Golden Pancakes & Huevos Rancheros) & it was delicious, definitely worth coming back for. I would still say that the portions are a little too big so bring a container to take the test home
I have been to both locations. Dragon bowl & BLT on chapati, are my two favorites. The ingredients are always fresh & the portions are always filling. If you have room for dessert try the spicy brownie & a latte.
Food : 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Trying something a little different I went for dinner with a friend (a former vegan) on a Wednesday evening. There is a small sidewalk terrace but we elected inside as it was a little chilly. The restaurant inside is very bright with a pretty laid back vibe & decor. The staff was very warm & helpful in terms of explaining some of the options & giving recommendations to me, a proud carnivore. We ordered 2 bowls, Dragon & Mumbai Bowl, Tempeh Satay & Mango Lassi. Orders came fast, presentation was very nice & everything was tasty. No complaints & would repeat.
