Review Summary

Aux Quartiers Belle Gueule - Biergarten offers a casual terrace vibe with a solid beer and food lineup and an immersive brewery room visible from the pub that adds craft charm; the atmosphere ranges from festive to relaxed, ideal for a terrace afternoon or an immersive evening around brews, and some comments note self service at the bar while others praise attentive service when available; prices are generally reasonable with good value on beer and food, though a few reviews call out higher beer prices and crowds that can be loud; the venue is seen as a showcase of Montreal's craft brewing and suits casual gatherings, family outings with dogs, and even private events.

Visited on June 13, 2021, in the afternoon, my first brewery/brewpub rating since September of last year. Located between Christophe-Colomb Ave & the RJ (GMT) Brewery, the building used to house Grolsch Canada Inc, which is distributed by GMT. Although the building has been part of the brewery for years, it's only last year brewpub project came too light, under Jan-Philippe Barbeau, best known for MacKroken Flower & the Loup Rouge Brewery. It opened to the public for the first time last Friday, so it's very young, however it's been brewing for months now selling cans in limited retail stores. It opened to the public for the first time last Friday, so it's very young, however it's been brewing for months now selling cans in limited retail stores. The north end of the brewpub is were the large patio is located & so far the only place open. There is no food for now because the kitchen is not ready. There is 8 beers on tap, 5 are from the main brewery & 3 from the brewpub, they also have hard cider in cans & a few none alcohol beers. In the front the indoor pub, but is not open, but it looks fairly big. Bathrooms are on the De La Roche Street side of the building, all very accessible & the staff is quit friendly. A new place for Barbeau to practice his art!
