Our visit to Au Pied de Cochon was the highlight of our already amazing trip to Montréal. The staff was incredibly attentive & the overall vibe was so positive. I truly applaud the team for being able to create such a memorable experience.
The foie gras poutine was the best poutine I've ever had. I highly recommend it. The duck in a can was delicious, & the pork loin was also wonderful.
A special thanks to our server Emil for his excellent service & spot-on recommendations.
I'm flashing back to a memorable night at this Montreal institution given their exceptional sense of hospitality. I had the daunting task of hosting a group of five ladies from New York who know a thing or two about great restaurants. Among the standout dishes were the foie gras poutine & the duck in a … can. Our waiter didn't miss a beat throwing in a round of drinks because he felt that the extra few minutes we waited for our food was too long. At the end of the meal, he offered us a maple sugar pie for the table & played DJ taking requests that led to a Tina Tuner singalong. Nobody at the table was celebrating anything in particular other than life in general. It was all just ducky!
Personnel hyper agréable, cuisine d'inspiration rustique mais vraiment excellente (quantités très généreuses, il ne faut pas hésiter à partager les plats), une expérience à faire ! La salle est un peu bruyante, seul léger bémol
I have wanted to go to this restaurant since seeing it on a Food Network show & was happy to get a reservation for the outdoor patio which turned out to be a quieter more intimate setting than the noisy & jam packed interior.
We ordered 3 items to share, & while the food was pretty tasty, the portions were very modest, & hardly worth the hefty prices. The same went for the cider I ordered -- it was served like a vintage wine with a very stingy pour - have never had cider served this way -- & prices same as a 12-16 oz pour elsewhere.
I am glad to have tried this iconic restaurant, - it was a one time splurge -unlikely to return.
Excellent sur tout les niveaux mais je crois qu'il devrait y avoir un plat végétarien parce que quand on est un groupe il y a en a toujours un qui ne mange pas de viande.
Best food I've ever had in a restaurant! Don't say this lightly ~ this was definetly an experience of taste, texture, & aromas. From appetizer to main course, it was just food for the soul. To say I loved it would be an understatement. Highly recommend!
Wonderful meal with some of the most incredible duck & fish dishes! The atmosphere was wonderful & our server Niles offered some great food recommendations. Highly recommend, especially for a date night or a special occasion.
Incredible overall experience. We had the pleasure of having Arielle & another server serve us & eloquently explain the menu & the dishes that came to our table.
As for the food, amazing. We had the fois gras nigiri to start, followed by canard in a can & stuffed pigs foot. All were above expectations & somehow didn't leave us suffering from over indulgence.
We'll definitely come back with friends & family!
Exceptional service at Au Pied de Cochon! The staff were incredibly attentive - checking in often & keeping our water glasses full. It's the small details like that which really elevate the experience.
The thoughtful presentation of each dish (& even the drinks!) was a standout. They walked us through how everything was prepared, adding a special touch to the experience. Even without speaking much French, we felt completely welcomed. A unique & memorable dining experience!
As for food, I would highly recommend the fois gras nigiri, stuffed pork foot, duck in a can.
Service impeccable & nourriture délicieuse & non conventionnelle, une belle aventure pour le palais!!!
