Exceptional, as always! Chef Michael & his culinary team-- Spot on! A great off-menu mixed salad, again the duck tartare, presented in seaweed sheet-cone, & this time the Aged Grilled Pork Chop, & Ice Cream Profiteroles! All were both outstanding! Theo's cocktails & service were outstanding! Thanks everybody!

What an incredible place! The finest Québecois cusine in a really happy & relaxed atmosphere. The food is inventive & delicious, & the service is on point. Our waiter, Émile was excellent, with a winning personality, providing us with the attentive, yet unobtrusive service that is found in the best restaurants. A shout out to the gentleman who bussed our table, we never ran out of water, & the person who delivered our dinner, her ethusiasm for the food was infectious. Truly one of the best restaurants in Montréal, Québec, & Canada. P.S. Try the cider!

I am visiting Montreal for the week & decided to try Au Pied de Cochon for the first time. The food was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this the foie gras nigiri! The staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful, thank you for the memorable experience!
Second time here comming from Toronto. Everything I ate except the oysters ad foie gras, & that's a good thing, you can't not eat foie & come here. Everything was amazing couldn't get enough of the foie nigiri, the terrine was amazing with the maple butter. Finally tried the duck in a can. Although I did not have the foie poutine this year, I highly recommend that to. The dessert, pouring chomeur, was great. PIck the add cheddar & foie option it's a great pairing between sweet & savory. This place never disappoints & I will be back next year again, I need to try everything on the menu.
Everyone says you must get the canned duck here but I must say I was more blown away by the foie gras profiteroles! We also really liked the duck tartare temaki. While the canned duck was great for a video/photo, I felt that the foie gras in the small plates tasted better & some parts of the canned duck were just way too fatty for me. If I came back I'd order a bunch of the profiteroles.
Amazing experience - food, atmosphere & service ! It would be nice to have a bit more vegetable options (besides potatoes).... but you don't eat this delicious rich food every day ... & it would kind of go against the theme of the restaurant.
Merci
What a great evening. The food was fantastic, but what made the night special was how attentive & friendly the staff was.
Vibrant ,& authentic food while watching "the line" in action created a unique & most pleasurable (& delicious) experience.
Foie Gras. Foie Gras. The Scallop dish. The pancake dish. Our dessert was the creme pudding. Paired with Pinot Noir. A great culinary experience. Service was slow & disconnected. Everyone was friendly but the attention & timeliness wasn't there. Our waitress was more of a campaigner walking around to smile & be friendly but she didn't serve us. Odd right? They had bussers, food runners, altogether we had 4-5 different staff tend to us but none were truly attentive & timely. I'm a generous tipper but I was wondering who gets the tip. I felt my waiter didn't deserve it. Odd right? We sat in front of the cooking station witnessed all the action. It felt operationally inefficient & chaotic. The head chef & his team, in my opinion deserved the tip. They held the entire restaurant together working in chaos & kept the dishes coming. I noticed he'd call out that a dish was ready but the dish would sit on the shelf likely too long. The food did take too long to get & the time gap between dishes were too long. Wine ordering took too long. If the dishes came out more timely we would've wanted to order more. The best part by far are the incredible & unique dishes. Flavors, richness, uniqueness, all exceptionally enjoyable & memorable. The show stealer. About the atmosphere...for me...it's a bit too cramped & loud for me, but I know it's just me. It's a bar & pub feel. The atmosphere could be completely great for others. What do I know, the place was packed on a Wednesday evening.
