Le restaurant Au Pied de Cochon est le lieu où tout a commencé. Opéré d’une génération à l’autre, la passation de connaissances familiales contribue à la renommée du restaurant. En constante évolution, le Pied de Cochon fête ses 20 ans en novembre 2021. Ce restaurant à la carte est situé au cœur du Plateau Mont-Royal. Authentiques et fidèles à ses racines québécoises et canadiennes, les plats sont copieux et réconfortants. Tirant également son inspiration des brasseries françaises, le chef et son équipe s'inspirent des produits locaux, et saisonniers pour créer un menu intemporel . Avec des vins d’importation privés, des bières brassées à Montréal, et des cocktails signature, le restaurant Au Pied de Cochon est un endroit convivial où les produits du terroir sont mis en valeur. On y retrouve une des premières cuisines ouvertes à Montréal dans laquelle on peut y voir les cuisiniers en pleine action.

What an amazing experience. Barely made it off the plane in time to catch dinner, but we were welcomed with opened arms. Treated to some of the best food we've ever had. Particularly enjoyed the Duck in a Can. So much that our server so generously had the can washed for us to take home, along with some extra labels. We were heartbroken to arrive home to find that we had left the can at on the table, after they had taken the time to clean it for us. Thank you so much Au Pied de Cochon, we will return.Voir plus

From out of town & had to visit twice on the short trip we had to try most of the menu! Have an open mind to trying new flavors that will leave you so happy. Sitting at the bar is fun because it gives a front view of how the kitchen works & watch your food become a masterpiece.Voir plus

This restaurant lives up to the hype of being a culinary institution in Montreal. I got to visit this restaurant during a brief stay in the city, & from the moment I stepped in to the moment I left, the experience was very memorable. I made an reservation for my gf & I to sit at the bar, which in hindsight, was the right call because you get to sit in front of the kitchen & watch the chefs working hard & assembling all the dishes (highly recommend sitting at the bar). The staff, from the server to even the chefs, were very welcoming, accommodating, & stayed on top of our every need from beginning to end, communicating with us in English since we do not speak French, ensuring that our waters were always topped off, giving us plenty of information about every dish & drink we ordered, as well as making good recommendations that worked out for our palette. All the dishes were incredibly tasty, but especially their infamous Duck in a Can, which I now understand why it's such a classic! We had a few libations, all well prepared, & ciders. The desserts were really good too! All in all, I am looking forward to going back one day & cannot recommend this place enough.Voir plus

Had dinner at this place this week, definitely didn't live it up to the hype. The restaurant was overly crowded, everyone is trying to move the table down so they can push themselves into the seat. At the end, whoever sat at the back of the restaurant had no way to even breathe!! & that was what exactly happened to us. When we reflected this to the waiter, she just asked the next table to move down, but clearly there were no space to move!!! Anyway the appetizer was great, we ordered four different one & love all of them. Highly recommended the duck tartare, perfectly done in taste & presentation! That said, the aged pork chop we ordered was very disappointing, it was dry & no favour to it. All in all, I wouldn't come back if they don't rearrange the seating. The food is good but hey it is Montreal, you get good food everywhere!!!Voir plus

The food was delectable, & the presentation was stunning. The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, but unfortunately, our seating arrangement was less than ideal. We were seated at a table that was uncomfortably close to other customers, which detracted from our overall experience. 😥 The jackets developed a musty odor after being hung on the clothes rack. We brought this issue to the attention of the server, who provided a cloth but did not take any additional action. As a result, our jackets now have lingering food spills.Voir plus

A famous restaurant that does not need my review, but I have to add my comments. Martin Picard iconic spot made famous with a little help from his friend Anthony Bourdain. The restaurant seems to have hit its groove. All the staff are amazing. Sit at the bar to be in the action. Food is exceptional. DUCK IN A CAN Yes, you heard thay right! Duck in a can. Who knew that'd it'd be so fancy? The Duck is served with butter, sourdough bread & foie gras & it's definitely one of the most delicious things I've ever had! This is a higher end resto only come if ita a special occasion or you have expendable income. Despite what ordered being the duck in a can I found my boyfriend's cassoulet much better because I loooove beans. There is nothing better than beans & meat.Voir plus
