Our history Arouch is a family business which opened its doors in 1978. The bakery, which initially sold lahmajoun pizzas exclusively, quickly carved out a reputation as being the best in town. Arouch has appeared in several newspaper and magazine articles, as well as on television and the Internet. The owners, the Dedeyan family, renovated the bakery by introducing several varieties of typical pizzas, modernizing the décor, opening a second bakery in Laval, a third downtown, and a fourth in Côte-des-Neiges. Today, Arouch serves you from its 4 locations and its products are sold in more than 50 independent supermarkets and specialty stores in Quebec such as Mourelatos and Marché PA.
Reviewers describe Arouch as a dependable spot for authentic Armenian and Levantine flatbreads, with lahmajoun and manakish as standout favorites thanks to a yeasted dough, hot oven, and a range of toppings from zaatar to cheese; the pizzas are praised as some of the best in town, though a few notes mention that some cheese pizzas are too salty lately and there can be occasional timing or menu quirks such as not offering lahmajoun at certain hours. The atmosphere is consistently described as clean, neat and calm, with fast, courteous service and friendly staff, and convenient options for dine-in or takeout plus on-site parking. Quality and freshness are emphasized, with mentions of carefully prepared, fresh ingredients and traditional techniques, and many reviews highlight loyal, long-time patrons and the appeal for breakfast or casual meals. Overall impression is positive, with strong recommendations and a sense that Arouch delivers a satisfying, authentic experience that keeps customers coming back.
Excellent manae'ish , yeasted dough topped with various ingredients, like za'atar & cheese. Other toppings available. However, we have been going there for decades for our fix of the basics & sometimes the lahmajoun with dibiss (only on Fridays)
If you're looking for a restaurant in Laval where you won't question the cleanliness, Arrouch is your spot. This place is so spotless, I think they clean with magic! & their lahmajoun, manakish zaatar, & pizza fromage are all winners. My personal MVP is the zaatar with lettuce, tomato, & olives - it's so fresh, it practically winks at you. Seriously, no funny smells, just good vibes & great food. Get yourself there!
