Gluten free paradise for celiacs. Great food, great place. A reference for years.View more
I didn't think I liked arepas but Arepera made me a believer. The only problem is that I live 3,000 miles away & none of the arepas I've tried since even come close. I wake up at night, months later, thinking of these arepas & the avocado sauce. Cannot recommend highly enough.View more
We got the pork & avocado & the pork & plantains. They were generous, juicy, fresh & delicious. the whole menu is gluten free, which is amazing.View more
Had the pork belly arepa, plantains, & the cane sugar juice with lime. The food was so great. The service was so kind. 100% will be back. I love arepas bc they are gluten free & corn is so yummy, & these do not disappoint esp with the medium spicy sauce. I already ate one piece of pork from this before I took the photo. The plantain cheesecake was really interesting & I would eat it again, esp with some espresso.View more
Toujours un bon voyage culinaire, on y mange bien pour pas cher ☺️View more
Severely underrated. Before I was introduced to Arepera by a friend, I unknowingly walked by this place many times without noticing it. Now, I cannot recommend this place enough. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. The sandwiches are incredible. It doesn't matter what you get off the menu, you will be happy with your choice. Service is great, the option to pay on your phone from the table exists, you can get takeout. The vibe inside the location is comfortable, & despite how busy it can get it never feels crowded. If you want food from Arepera (& you do!) you can get it.View more
Forget that this place is completely gluten free, the food was amazing! A fantastic tropical escape! On top of that, the service by Norah was wonderful.View more
This was a SUCCULENT meal. The arepas are simply delicious, the sauce they give you is to die for, & on top of that everything just happens to be fully gluten free. I had a chicken arepa with cheese, plantain & beans (Pabellón de pollo) & it was so good. They have a very large selection of vegetarian & vegan meals as well. The prices are also super fair. Very lively atmosphere, friendly service, will for sure be coming back!View more
Great for celiacs as everything is gluten free. Delicious arepas & empanadas, cant even tell its gluten free!View more
Superbe restaurant, 100% sans gluten. Je le recommande hautement. Les sandwich sont excellent, les assiette encore mieux. Vous pouvez même acheter une bière pour boire sur la rue pendant que vous attendez votre place dans le restaurant.View more
A4 a bit salty, love the arepa bread & empanadas mixView more
Some of the best plantains I've had in a restaurant! I had been wanting to try arepas for the longest time & now I know I'll be craving it constantly. Their lime & sugar cane juice should also not be passed up.View more
C'est bon, mais les arepas sont un peu salées. J'ai commandé des plats à emporter & ils me l'ont servi à table, j'ai dû le commander à nouveauView more
The food is delicious! There are several vegetarian options, everything is gluten-free, & their guacasa (sp?) avocado sauce you put on everything is to die for! I was also really impressed with their sangria tonight. Absolutely delicious & we'll always go back!View more
Ma parole c'est vraiment trop bon leur cuisine. Pas de photos j'ai atomisé l'assiette instantanément. Foncez.View more
I prefer Arepera over the other arepa restaurants on the plateau. They have a simple selection of plates & dishes that makes it easy to choose (there's basically one or two kinds of arepa per type of protein). Unlike some of the other places, Arepera always seems to be consistent in the quality of their dishes & sauces, so if you're a creature of habit that is also a plus. It's also a certified Gluten-free establishment, I believe, so they only serve GF dishes, & drinks (like GF beer), & there is no risk of cross contamination for people who are celiac. The only couple of downsides to this place are: 1. The restaurant itself is a bit stark. Despite having bright walls, nice art, & church pews as entryway benches, it's basically just one giant room with cafeteria style tables. There's very little privacy & the sound echoes quite a bit so you can hear other people's conversations quite clearly. It also feels really chilly in the winter, so if you're a fan of cozy this probably isn't the place for you. 2. They don't do delivery anymore (it's been a few years since they stopped, but this review is long overdue), so if you want to order in, you have to go to the restaurant & get takeout. I still think it's worth it if you're craving arepas. 😁View more
