The best part is the avacado sauce, but the actual meal is a little boring & not that flavorful. Their new restaurant has as good an atmosphere as the old one, but with a lot more space.View more

My best friend who is celiac & I love this place so much. Every time we visit we are greeted by the great staff. Today Nora was our waitress & she was really friendly, kind & took her time with us.
La bouffe est incroyable, on commande CHACUN toujours 3 empenadas & le pabellon de pollo, & avec chaque bouchée bien sûr accompagné de la merveilleuse sauce épicée rouge & celle verte.
Ce resto a changé de propriétaires au fils des années, mais la qualité, les prix, & l'expérience est tout aussi enjoyable.
Avec la belle journée, les fenêtres ouvertes, on ce sentait dehors avec les piétons alors qu'on était comfortable à l'intérieur.

I came to Montreal not knowing I would travel in time to my childhood in Venezuela. Empanadas are just perfect: thin & crunchy, flavourful, delicious stuffing, perfect size, best empanadas in Canada!! Also the guasacaca sauce, omg!!! Not only it is DELICIOUS but it reminded me of my home, my family, when we used to get together on weekends to make'parrilladas' (bbq)! Congratulations guys, you are doing great!!View more

when i say my sister came back here TWICE in one day, im being completely serious! food was so comforting & well portioned for the price. Inside, the staff is very friendly & the service was great. Food was also very quick! The bun was perfect & very generously stuffed. All came with a side salad which was refreshing (don't know the sauce that went on it but it was so good!). We absolutely love this place & it's definitely worth checking out!View more

Been close to a decade since I first wrote a 5 star review on TripAdvisor upon our first visit & this time I wanted to share it on Google. We visit this place annually (other than lockdown year) from out of town. A proper gluten free restaurant. Over these years since being introduced to Areparas we've tried other places to compare, in different cities & countries. We also noticed over the years some menu changed here, I really miss the Crackling Arepera but the Pork Belly is my replacement & amazing. The point of this updated review a decade later is after over the years trying different Arepara places hands down this place is our benchmark! Each time we return & I take my first bite, I am instantly transported back to the wonderful memories & feelings upon tasting the food here like the first time. I am reminded why they are our benchmark for their ingredient quality, taste, prep, portion, their 2 sauces & why we must continue to return to enjoy such great food at reasonable prices by this Arepera owner & the team. I really want as many people to experience it too!View more

We got the cassava sticks, guasacaca chicken plate, black beans & plantain arepa, & guasacaca arepa. The guasacaca sauce is really delicious & addictive! Really good portion sizes. The fried plantains were amazing! The air conditioning was so cold & perfect!!!View more

We love Arepas, & it's helpful they're a naturally gluten free dish. This restaurant is perfect because the entire kitchen is 100% gluten free. We enjoyed the empanada trio first, & then we each had an arepa for our entrée. I think our favorite was the one with chicken, beans, & plantains. Both the green & red sauces were delicious. No notes. A great place for a delicious gluten free meal.View more

I couldn't believe their entire menu was gluten free!! I had the arepa with beef, avocado & feta as well as empanadas & they were so tasty & seasoned well. The avocado sauce is also really good. Definately recommend this place for your gluten sensitivities!View more

I didn't think I liked arepas but Arepera made me a believer. The only problem is that I live 3,000 miles away & none of the arepas I've tried since even come close. I wake up at night, months later, thinking of these arepas & the avocado sauce. Cannot recommend highly enough.View more

Had the pork belly arepa, plantains, & the cane sugar juice with lime. The food was so great. The service was so kind. 100% will be back. I love arepas bc they are gluten free & corn is so yummy, & these do not disappoint esp with the medium spicy sauce. I already ate one piece of pork from this before I took the photo. The plantain cheesecake was really interesting & I would eat it again, esp with some espresso.View more

This was a SUCCULENT meal. The arepas are simply delicious, the sauce they give you is to die for, & on top of that everything just happens to be fully gluten free. I had a chicken arepa with cheese, plantain & beans (Pabellón de pollo) & it was so good. They have a very large selection of vegetarian & vegan meals as well. The prices are also super fair.
