The Archibald microbrewery is delicious panini platters, whisky BBQ chicken wings and hearty breakfasts. It’s also “hunter’s platters” that will satisfy even the most voracious appetites. But above all, Archibald is some ten artisanal brews that are out of this world: La Matante, La Joufflue, La Brise du lac, La Ciboire, La Choute, La Tite’Kriss, La Weiss and more! It’s a date!
Reviewers describe Archibald as a reliable go to spot at the Montreal airport for both breakfast and light meals, with many noting fast, friendly service and a warm chalet like atmosphere. The food is generally solid and often praised for flavor and generous portions, with standout items including smoked meat sandwich, poutine, burgers, and a salmon salad, and onsite beer from the brewery. Several say the prices are high but understandable for airport dining, and portions can be uneven with some dishes feeling light or the fries cold. Service is frequently described as attentive, efficient, and cheerful, though a few experiences report slow or less courteous service and one reviewer noted issues with getting a table or timing before boarding. Reviewers also appreciate the openness for dietary needs with gluten free options and careful handling to avoid allergens. Overall Archibald is seen as one of the better airport dining options in Montreal, a reliable stop before a flight, with a lively atmosphere and consistently good drinks.
I had the prosciutto pizza & a lager beer for dinner & unfortunately the meal was not great. The pizza was too salty, with too much cheese & prosciutto & the beer was overpriced at $14 dollars for 20oz pint. The service was great & attentive but sadly the meal was a bit disappointing. Overall my meal was over ~$50 including tip for myself.
This might have just been some of the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life. The popcorn chicken melted in my mouth, the workers are so nice, & it is so cozy inside. I'm so glad I kept looking around for a restaurant, thank you for providing an amazing experience.
Un vrai restaurant dans l'aéroport! Un sandwich BLT très bon, un burger savoureux, un brownieavec sandwich crème glacée : un délice. Ça fait plaisir. ;-)
So sorry, my initial review was for another restaurant that I must have posted here. We did dine at this restaurant in the Montreal Airport & it was an excellent meal. Quick service & the server was very good.
Decent burger for an airport restaurant. Food came fast, hot & fresh. Service was ok. My server was rather short with their attitude & seemed to check on the other tables more than mine.
Situated conveniently in the airport. Food quality was typical bar food. Pricey for small portions. Super busy, long line up. Wide assortment of food & beer for all ages & interest. Enjoyed the visit. Staff looked overworked & short handed, but still got the job done all things considered. Was here for a stopover.
It's okay. It's at the Montreal airport which automatically costs it a star (hate that airport) but overall it's one of the better options on the domestic side
