Our usual go to place when flying domestic & international, whether for breakfast or supper. But, what prompted me to write a review was the help provided by one of the staff members.
We had accidently left something behind & only realized it once we had passed the checkpoint for international departures. Once through there, you are unable to return. However, with their help, we were able to get our belongings back before boarding our flight! So very much appreciated!View more
Archibald is often a necessary stop while we wait for our flight. We're always well served, the food is good, & the prices are very reasonable.View more
Perfect pre-flight stop!
Grabbed a bite at Archibald before my flight & was seriously impressed. I was there with my wife & kids. The smoked meat sandwich & poutine were amazing, & the local beer was a nice bonus. My server, Elsaco, was awesome - they explained their name is a combo of two people, & you could tell they made a great team. One was more serious, the other more funny - perfect balance! Super friendly service without feeling rushed. Definitely coming back next time I'm at YUL.View more
Fast & friendly service.
Ate breakfast before a flight. Was advised ahead of behind seated about the expected turnaround time. Greatly appreciatedView more
We came to had a breakfast between our connecting flight. The place looked great while walking along & we thought to try it out. The food was good & the atmosphere was good too but once we received our food within 20 - 30 mins the server placed the cheque on the table. They also took the plate from which i was eating. The server again insisted if we want the payment machine even though we were still not yet finished with the food.
Seemed like they wanted to force us out even though most of the tables were empty. Looks targetted to certain skin color.View more
Archibald's offers a perfect pit stop-quick service that fits your flight schedule, paired with a laid-back vibe to ease travel stress. We stopped in this place to grab a bite to eat. They made sure we had at least 40 minutes to dine before seating us for service. Jessica was our waitress, knowledgeable about the robust menu, & attentive. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. If you are looking to just try poutine, it was decent & comforting, but not anything to rant about. Beefy, bacon-filled burgers seem to be the fail-safe option. I enjoyed the juicy brew, which is passion fruit & other light flavors that paired well with the poutine. Archibald's is a great choice for a quick & satisfying meal before your flight-definitely worth a stop.View more
Came here to have some food because we got our flight delayed by 5+ hours. The food was great & I really enjoyed the service. The servers made me feel a lot better about my delay & told me some stories too!View more
We are here waiting for a flight. Had the Archibald burger & it was an ok burger but expensive for what you get. The patty was super thin & for the price they charge, there should have been 2 patties or a thicker one. No value here. Taste was ok but the burger itself wasn't even hot. I would say to skip this place. Better yet, bring your own snacks as the concessions at the airport just don't deliver. The good part is the service was excellentView more
The service was quick & efficient, making it perfect for travelers on tight schedules. The food was convenient & satisfactory, exactly what you need when you're in a hurry. Overall, a reliable option for a quick bite before your flight.View more
Archibald has become a must for my pre-flight meals when going to Europe. Today was a classic example of their amazing service. I sat down quickly after arriving, didn't need the menu as I already knew what I wanted to eat. In the time I got my charger out of my backpack, Elsa, my table's waitress, came to see me. I gave her my order & asked if I could pay before getting the order. She came back with the bill 2 minutes after, & ~5 minutes after that I had my plate in front of me, with the condiments & drink I had requested. So, in less than 10 minutes from arriving, I had my food in front of me & the bill was taken care of. Then, I calmly enjoyed my food, & left around 30 minutes after arriving. During that time, Elsa came back to ask how everything was & kept tabs on my table. The service was genuine, as it was great before & after having paid the bill early, no matter if I had already given the tip. By the way, their Archibald Burger is awesome, & very fairly priced for the quality given we're at an airport. Definitely recommend; I'll definitely keep coming! Thanks Elsa for the great service!View more
The food was very tasty. Initially, I ordered the calamari, but the portion received was very small, & when I enquired of my server, she went & got me a freshly prepared replacement. They will always do their best to make you feel welcome. A fantastic spot to chill & eat while you await your flight.View more
Very accomaditve if you want to grab a bite to eat before your flight & are squeezed on time, but be prepared for a salty bill.View more
Good place for a quick pint between flights. Food looked average. Good, cheerful service. Be sure to look up at the old-time snow shoe ceiling.View more
Can't speak for the food, but great variety of beer & drinks. Loved the Valkyrie beer 🍺, very reasonable priced for a 35 ounce mug. Service & atmosphere was great & energetic. Perfect place to stop before a flight.View more
I personally found this place a bit overpriced for what they offer but I guess it is the price the travellers pay while sitting at the gate. $24 for Montreal smoked meat sandwiches. $24 for smoked meat poutine. $11 for a small pint. I also found the service quite slow. The food came out fast but I had to wait for a while to get my bill paid. I had time to spare for my next flight but it would have been frustrated otherwise. The atmosphere was good.View more
Stopped in for breakfast while waiting on a flight, nice place showing some wear & tear, the leather on our banquet was torn. The BLT sandwich was fantastic. Smoothie was good . It's a busy place so bit of a wait.View more
Service was fast & extremely friendly. Poutine, for airport food, was fantastic. Would go by if we were hungry waiting for our flight.View more
Burgers are very good & service & atmosphere are excellent. Very nice place before catching a flight.View more
Excellent service. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful way to spend time between flights.View more
Great place while we waited for connecting flight. Comfortable chairs. I had the shrimp tacos which had fresh ingredients & were very tasty. I also upgraded the fries to poutine. The poutine was very good. I am not a poutine expert but being from Alabama I know fries, gravy, & cheese. My wife had the mushroom ravioli & it was like a fine dining entree. Our waiter, Maxton, was very friendly & knowledgeable, he quoted us well on what to eat!View more
Best food I’ve ever eaten at an airport restaurant. I’ve seen a lot of airport restaurants-& try to avoid them.
I ordered the beef cheeks & they were amazing. Like a tender beef roast that has simmered all day. They came with 4 delicious mushroom ravioli & vegetables. One of the asparagus spears was woody which I was happy to overlook in an airport restaurant - but would bring up in a 5 star restaurant review. The hazy IPA was really good. This was a date night quality meal.
My wife had prosciutto linguine. It was as delicious as my beef cheeks. The restaurant was out of the white wine my wife asked for & she settled with Chardonnay which she described as adequate.
Service was quick & friendly. We ordered in English & were well treated. French was more common among staff & customers.
The atmosphere is that of a typical brew pub.
In summary, my best meal at any airport & a meal I’d be happy with at good restaurants off airport. My congratulations to the management & staff.
We had six hours between flights today. The hostess asks guests if they have at least 40 minutes until boarding before seating them. Service is quick, but for a leisurely meal I’d recommend at least an hour.View more
