I would make reservations ahead of time or go during the week but great great place & my mom is coming for the holidays I often be taking her to this Portuguese restaurant highly recommend if you live in Montreal or if you ever pass through thank you guys so much for your great service & I will be back for sure.

Personnel incroyable, nourriture absolument incroyable endroit dont je parlerai à tout le monde & si vous ne connaissez pas ce Jim caché, vous devriez le vérifier. Je ferais des réservations à l'avance ou j'irais pendant la semaine, mais super endroit & ma mère vient pour les vacances, je l'emmène souvent dans ce restaurant portugais, je le recommande vivement si vous vivez à Montréal ou si jamais vous passez, merci beaucoup pour votre excellent service & je reviendrai à coup sûr.
Highly recommend if you're in the neighbourhood. The server was beet friendly & welcoming. We ordered the grilled vegetables with goat cheese & fried calamari & both dishes were delicious. We found this place totally by accident & were super pleased. Bonus: fun, Latin music.

If you're looking for a meal that hits hard with flavor & satisfaction, this combo is next level! The grilled chicken was perfectly charred with just the right amount of spice-juicy inside, crispy outside, & topped with crushed chili flakes that bring the heat without overpowering the taste. Every bite was packed with bold, smoky goodness!
& let's talk about the poutine… 🤤 Classic comfort food done right. The fries stayed crispy under a generous layer of rich, savory gravy & melty cheese curds. It was the perfect balance to the spicy chicken-creamy, indulgent, & straight-up delicious.
📍Perfect for a work lunch or late-night feast. Flavor, portion, & presentation? All on point.
Aquinta is one of my favorite spots-every visit is a treat. The food is consistently excellent, & the service is top-notch. I usually go for the paila as my main dish, & it never disappoints-rich, flavorful, & perfectly cooked. The grilled octopus is another standout: tender, smoky, & beautifully plated. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
The only (very small) downside is that it can get a bit loud when it's busy, but honestly, it's a sign of how popular the place is-& for good reason.
I had the charcoal-grilled fish here last night, & it was absolutely amazing! The fish was perfectly cooked-crispy on the outside & tender & juicy on the inside. You could really taste the smoky flavor from the grill, which made each bite so flavorful. The seasoning was spot-on, & it came with a side of fresh veggies & a tangy dipping sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. The staff was friendly & attentive, & the ambiance of the restaurant made for a relaxed, enjoyable dinner. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves fresh, well-prepared seafood. Will definitely be coming back for more!

While heading to pick up chicken at another spot, I stumbled upon this hidden gem on Ontario Street by chance. A quick stop at a red light that led me to see this restaurant, & I decided to take some chicken home. It was absolutely delicious! Intrigued, I returned later with a friend for dinner, & we were both impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly & welcoming, & the service was exceptional. The food was outstanding, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant-it's truly a wonderful find!

Myself & the wife have been to Aquinta numerous times, a friendly owner & extremely motivated staff are always making sure we are taken care of. On our most recent outing however we had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with Luciano running it. The experienced bartender was knowledgeable, quick with a joke & his service standard was more akin to a 5 star French bistro than neighbourhood dining. Having spent 10 years in hospitality myself, I was pleasantly surprised to experience such a high quality level of service. Highly recommended, & if you see a silver fox behind the bar, I recommend you sit there.
Wow! What a lovely place full of such kind, helpful & loving people. My friend & I had been visiting Montreal for the weekend & had a really bad first day experience. But then we came across this place for dinner & we had such smiles on our face from the music, to the delicious looking food & kind workers. You feel the love in this family business from how they treat the customers to how they treat each other. Very pleased & we highly recommend!!

I wanted to share some love for Aquinta! Our favourite local restaurant since we moved here, the Portuguese poutine is amazing 🤩 I hadn't gone back since my celiac diagnosis...but was so pleasantly surprised this weekend when the server & chef went above & beyond to provide me with safe options. We will be back often & highly recommend (but make a reservation since it's a well-known secret!). 🥰 my husband devoured his seafood paella 🥘
Great spot! Highly recommend. Chicken combo is a great deal. Also definitely worth it to replace the fries with portuguese potatoes. Also incedible service. Great family run spot.
Amazing local restaurant you must go! I highly recommend you make a reservation. We just found this place on google so we had to walk in. They had no system for putting names/numbers down, no waiting list either so you have to wait there with the entire group hoping some table will leave soon. It was friday night & we waited about 20-30min, not a bad wait time since we were just two. All of their food were amazing & also the Portuguese white wine that the owner recommended was just great pairing well with our food. Their sea-bass was excellent. Their octopus & calamari dish was amazing too. Price range is great too!! So happy to see a place where they dont over price things. We will definitely come back & recommend to our Toronto friends. Btw, the egg tart was way too sweet for our tongue. 😂
Nice local restaurants. Seafoods are fresh & well seasoning. Other dishes are also very nice seasoning. It looks like family restaurant which is cozy & alsways crowded. Highly recommend
