This place has really become my favourite restaurant. It's affordable, the plates are really generous & most importantly really delicious. Got several items like the chicken, calamari, poutine & others & none have missed.
2022: Bustling restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Menu has lots of options. I went for the chicken & ribs combo & was highly impressed by the meal. Their piri piri sauce is spot on. Service was friendly also.
2026 Update: Since trying this place years ago, I've ordered delivery a couple times & returned with a friend to take him here for his birthday. Every experience has been fantastic. The quantity & quality Aquinta presents you for the price is fabulous & the service is consistently great. Upgraded to 5 stars for the consistency.
I order mixed grilled 1 including lamb chops, Portuguese chicken & chorizos it was perfect I couldn't ask for anything more

We visited Montreal last week & happened to discover this restaurant, & we're so glad we did! The chicken & ribs were absolutely delicious, & the staff were incredibly friendly & welcoming. We also loved the thoughtfully designed décor, which beautifully showcases Portuguese culture & heritage. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Montreal!
I tried this Portuguese restaurant & found it has a nice vibe with solid food, enjoyable music, & live sports on TV. The marinated chicken, racks of ribs, & chorizo were tasty & paired nicely with their seafood options.
The atmosphere feels welcoming for the most part, though some of the servers were a bit off-putting. Watch out on the tipping screen-they put the 18% option right before the 15%, making it easy to accidentally select the higher amount.
Overall, it's a decent spot for a meal, a beer, & catching some sports on TV.
We've had Aquinta a total of 3 times in the past 2 years as a family - every time as a takeout family combo meal to share. The first two times were honestly just not impressive, sometimes dry, sometimes lacking flavor
This year however, on Saturday June 20th 2026 specifically, we had it one more time & it was by far the best Portuguese chicken/meal we've all had by FAR. Everything was beautifully seasoned. The chicken was moist, seasoned throughout & nicely charred. The ribs were tender & juicy. I don't know what changed or who was working at opening that day but it was so good. If they can maintain that level of quality consistently we'll be ordering way more often in the future. Keep up the great work.
The food is very tasty, & the chicken is absolutely delicious. The customer service is also very good.
A small issue was the Aperol Spritz, which was quite disappointing, but that does not take away from the quality of the food.
I wouldn't recommend that particular drink.
We were seated outside, & some customers nearby were smoking marijuana with a vape pen, which was a little bothersome, at least for me.
It was a magical experience! The atmosphere was very nice, the owners are lovely. The food was delicious, i had the half chicken which was full of charred flavors of the grill yet still juicy & tasty. It was a great place to have a nice lunch
