“Three guys from the restaurant industry, sharing the same passion, met in a restaurant in Melbourne and a few years later decided to open their own place on the other side of the world: Montreal.”
This spot is the result of three visions combined, bringing together over 30 years of experience in the field. Through our menu and our restaurant, we want to offer you something unique. With our originality, we aim to contribute to Montreal’s vibrant dining scene.
Antipode offers a lively brunch scene with generous portions, beautiful presentation, and a menu that blends savory and sweet favorites like eggs Benedict, croque tartiflette, and shakshuka, plus standout pastries and a range of visually striking lattes and cocktails; the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and plant rich, making it easy to feel at home whether with friends or family; service is often described as friendly and attentive, with reservations recommended to avoid lines, though crowding can slow things down and long waits are sometimes noted during peak times; the kitchen is praised for flavorful, well balanced dishes and impressive desserts such as pistachio cheesecake and the iconic pain perdu, while a few critiques mention excessive salt or dishes that lean toward style over nuance and a few comments about music or pace not to everyone's taste; overall, Antipode is regarded as a top Montreal brunch spot with a vibrant, Instagrammable ambiance and dependable food and drinks that make many guests eager to return.
Very chic experience for the price. So many brunch choices. The ideal restaurant if you want to leave the routine & try new dishes. I recommend the saumon & guacamole one.
Service was incredible, food delicious. Would highly recommend coming, & trying a few different things. We ordered half the menu & everything was impressive.

The food is mediocre at best & its missing flavours. For the price it should be way better that what you get. Dont fall for social media like i did- its not worth it
Love Antipode, I go every chance I get. The food is usually good, & so are the lattes. Love the halal options.
However, we didn't know we had the table for two hours, which should be enough for brunch, but I would've liked to know so we could manage our time ourselves. We were notified we had 15 minutes left & ordered dessert. The waitress was very pushy, & by the time our dessert was served & we started eating it, at 11 on the dot, she asked us to leave with food still on the table. There were other empty tables too, so five more minutes would have helped, & this had never happened before. Maybe let people know how much time they have early on. Don't think I'll be returning.
Amazing service & delicious food! The presentation is also incredible! I tried their pink Latté drink & loved it! The brisket benne was heavenly!! 10/10 recommend to brunch here no hesitation!!
Canned Tomato Shakshuka! Canned tomato paste, 5 cubes of tofu with a small bread & tiny hummus with 1 olive - nothing but tomato paste - $26. Open a can of tomatoes, put balsamic vinegar & serve it with hummus- $ 4 or $5 max ! Cold service. Overhyped. 0.9/5. Put up a fancy social media account, call in some influencers, add some beautiful presentation to pop eye balls out & voila - get a 4.9/5 star rating which is overhyped.
Ps : the owners need to teach their servers how to talk. The tall male server (Caucasian guy) specifically. Needs to learn some manners how to talk to customers politely at the door. Wait here sign at the door was hidden as the door was open.
Wow. Loved the entire experience start to finish but especially the espresso martini tower! Chicken & waffles were fab & snuck a few bites of my friend's croques tartiette
Went to Antipode for the first time & it was amazing. The menu is creative & the food is delicious. Everything we had (chicken & waffles, beurre noisette, & truffle fries) was perfect. If we weren't in public, I would have licked my plate.
We even tried to convince them to open a location in the West Island. Will definitely be making my way back.
My sister & I tried out Antipode as our last meal before leaving Montreal this morning. It blew us away how delicious everything was! The bueno latte was fantastic. We had the croque madame, les patates, & the pancake. The highlight of the meal was the pancake - wow was it phenomenal! Service was great. We'll definitely be back on our next visit! Great job les gars!
