We had a reservation, so thankfully there was no waiting time. However, I was slightly disappointed with the table we were given. Since we had made a reservation, I was hoping for a somewhat nicer table. I'm also not sure if this is the restaurant's standard policy, but we were informed that our table was available for two hours. I completely understand if this is part of the restaurant's usual practice, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
We started with the extra-hot matcha lattes. The presentation was absolutely adorable, & I really appreciated the attention to detail. Unfortunately, both drinks were served more lukewarm than hot, despite having requested them extra hot.
We also tried the pistachio-almond cocktails. The presentation was lovely, although the almond flavor was quite dominant for my taste.
For brunch, we ordered a Croque Madame, two eggs Benedict (brisket & mushroom), & the yuzu French toast. The dishes were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, they were also served lukewarm.
On the positive side, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, pleasant, & nicely decorated, & the staff were quite friendly & welcoming.
Our total came to around $200, including the tip. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, & there were definitely some things we enjoyed. However, given the price & our experience with the temperature of both the drinks & food, I'm not sure it would be enough for me to return for a second visit.
Frites à l'ail & aux truffes, oeufs Bénédicte goûteux & généreux, un burger original en.pâte feuilletée, de délicieux oeufs beurre noisette (avec un coeur coulant) aux merguez... que dure d'autre, mélange de saveurs subtiles, plats généreux & personnel aimable. Excellente adresse pour un petit-déjeuner ou un brunch. & j'allais oublier le latte pistaches, très bon.
Un brunch haut en fusion de culture & goût! Je dirais même unique en son genre & un incontournable de Montreal. Les lattés Instagrammables & originaux sont sans aucun doute à essayer. Le chakchouka au Merguez est que sans dire juste incroyable avec une vague d'épices gouteux tout comme le hummus & les pains pitas. Pour les dents sucrés nous avons essayé le pancake style tarte au pomme je suggère de le partager un peu gros mais tres bon aussi.

Loved the vibrant atmosphere & the fantastic, attentive service. Unfortunately, the kitchen was way too heavy?handed with the salt. Both of our dishes were overly salty, & we couldn't finish them.
i devoured the classic brown butter eggs. it was actually pretty decent & flavourful! the tiramisu latte was underwhelming however & you could barely taste the tiramisu flavour ngl.

Excellente expérience chez Antipode Saint-Laurent. J'ai dégusté des oeufs pochés au beurre noisette, des boulettes d'aubergine & un chocolat chaud : tout était absolument délicieux. Les assiettes sont très bien présentées & donnent vraiment envie.
Un grand merci à Ludo pour son accueil & son service irréprochable. Toujours souriant, attentionné & aux petits soins, il a rendu ce brunch encore plus agréable.

Every now & then, a video of the tiramisu latte or someone's brunch from this cafe pops up on my for you page, so I finally had to try it.
I ordered the tiramisu latte, & my friend got the choco bounty latte, both were insane.
We also both ordered the salmon & guacamole eggs Benedict, which was beautifully presented & tasted as good as it looked.
Although this place is a bit on the pricey side, it's absolutely worth it. The quality, presentation & atmosphere made the experience memorable, & I'll definitely be coming back to try more on the menu.
Expérience culinaire de très bonne qualité...mais ! Il y a une inadéquation entre la cuisine servie très fine & recherchée, le service très ordinaire, l'ambiance du lieu & les prix pratiqués. Pour une expérience réussie il faut que tout ça match sinon ... On se retrouve avec un service de restaurant banal qui nous amène le bon plat ou pas ... qui amène de l'eau ou pas, qui amène du sucre pour les cafés fancy ou pas ... & qui te charge avec un prix d'un restaurant gastronomique, & là le cerveau fait: ?!? Le Tiramisu a 21$ ...il faut que tout soit impeccable, pas juste le Tiramisu.
Alors oui il y a un effort sur lieu, oui la cuisine est bonne mais attention à ton service ! & cerise sur le sunday, ne mets pas 18% minimum pour le tip ... Ça facheeeee !
Le brunch chez Antipode est un must si vous passer par little Italy à Montréal.
Les plats sont copieux & savoureux. Les desserts sont inventifs. C'est une explosion de saveurs. & comme en plus les boissons & le cafés sont succulents... Qu'attendez vous ? Vous n'êtes pas encore chez Antipode ?
