Cute little brunch spot on Laurier! We arrived at 9:30 with no lineup, but by the time we left, there was a long line, so come early if you don't want to wait. It's a small restaurant (~30 seats inside) with a nice terrace. Even though they were busy, the service was friendly & we never felt rushed.
The pistachio latte was perfect - just the right level of sweetness without being too much. I had the croque caprese, which was delicious, especially with the crispy cheese around the plate adding a nice salty crunch.
A cozy neighborhood gem worth trying if you're in the area for brunch!View more
On a Sunday morning, it took us 50 minutes of waiting time till we get a table.
The pistachio latte & the teramissu latte are good for photos only but taste bad.
It is relatively expensive as well, for two lattes & two plates our bill was over 100 $ including tip.
On the other hand, service was good
Conclusion: Will not come backView more
Great food & coffee, the pistachio latte is amazing! The down side is waiting in line, waiting & waiting & waiting for the food, service is rushed & not the best.View more
Worth the wait! Very cute interior & DELICIOUS food. Although, the pistachio latte disappointed me a bit. The pistachio taste was barely noticeable.View more
What a gem of a place! Great service & so cozy. The pistachio latte may be the best thing I've ever had to drink.View more
Went here twice already, last time was last year. It was trendy back then, the line was long & waited 2 hours. A year later, they held up with their quality of food & service & the line is still so long till the hour they're supposed to close. I got the chicken waffle (best thing ever) with their iconic tiramisu latte, & also tried their nutella & pistachio latte which are amazing as well. Definitely a must try bruch in montrealView more
Inovative & good food
Great service
The pistachio coffee was really amazing
Overall this should be in of the best brunch spots in the city.View more
Loved the place & the food .. the pistachio latte is a must try!!! Annnd it's worth the wait:)View more
Absolutely delicious!!! The pistachio latte is a must! Still dreaming about it. Our order was as followed: a lavender matcha & pistachio latte, for food we got the mushroom truffle eggs benedict & the pain perdu yuzu!View more
Their latte selection is impressive, offering unique flavors that go beyond the usual options. I tried both the pistachio & tiramisu lattes-while the tiramisu was my favorite, it was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Food-wise, the eggplant nuggets were a delightful surprise-crispy, flavorful, & addictive. I'm used to a traditional shakshouka dish, this was their own take on the recipe, which was delicious but not what I expected.
Overall, Antipode is a great spot for those who appreciate creative lattes & delicious, well-crafted dishes in a cozy setting. Definitely worth a visit!View more
4.5/5 ⭐️ We visited on a Sunday for brunch so it was very busy. We waited outside for about 30 minutes then once we were seated it took about 45-60 mins to get our food. I can't blame the service since I could tell they were trying their best with how busy it was! We got our drinks, a pistachio latte & nutella smarties drink, soon after ordering & they were phenomenal. It might be the best drink I've had & it was very aesthetic! We had the chakchouka classique & champignon & truffle eggs benedict - the only critique I have is that the sauce used for the eggs benedict has anchovies so my partner could not try the otherwise vegetarian dish. The chakchouka was vegetarian & I like how they included a side of hummus & olives as well. As a dessert we had the pain du perdu which was incredible. I'm not a fan of French toast but wow! The outside was crunchy & reminiscent of cinnamon sugar churros & the inside was soft. It seems the bread is made in house. It came with a variety of toppings as well & was very beautifully plated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting something sweet during brunch hours. So, although we had to wait a long time, the service was very friendly & the food was absolutely worth it. It makes sense that it was so busy! If possible I would try to come back on a weekday & also try the teatime menu.View more
The smoked salmon & avocado egg's Benedict was absolutely delicious! I was really looking forward to trying the lattes with the pistachio & bueno rim, but the actual coffee is sweetened beyond comprehension. We could barely finishing drinking them. It would be awesome to be able to order them unsweetened (maybe you can, but I didn't think to ask). We went on a Sunday morning & waited about 30 min in line. Overall, I'd go back for the benedict alone!View more
The food was not bad. Their Pistachio latte was to die for id definitely go back!View more
Tucked away in a charming corner of Montreal, offers a brunch experience that transcends the ordinary. This cozy coffee shop exudes warmth & charm from the moment you step in, but it's the food that truly steals the show. Here, dishes are not merely meals-they are edible works of art. Each plate is a masterpiece, both visually stunning & bursting with flavor, delivering everything one could hope for in a leisurely weekend brunch. What sets Antipode apart is its playful creativity. The menu is full of unexpected pairings that somehow work beautifully, like the pistachio latte-a unique creation that, while a touch too sweet for my taste, was a delightful surprise. It's exactly the kind of imaginative twist that keeps you coming back for more. The dessert, however, was the undeniable highlight of the meal. The pain perdu-a glorious, indulgent take on French toast-was generously portioned, perfect for sharing, though I found it difficult to stop eating even when full. Its richness & comforting sweetness made for a perfect ending to a delightful meal. If you're looking to treat yourself on a lazy Saturday, Antipode is the place to be. Start with the eggs Benedict & a pistachio latte, then finish with the pain perdu for a sweet, satisfying finale. & do bring a friend-these generous portions are made to be shared, ensuring you both leave feeling content & in high spirits.View more
Love this brunch spot in Montreal, everything is so pretty & tasty. I tried pistachio latte & I loved it, also the pancake is highly recommended, it is crispy & very nice decorated, beautiful dish. & I liked the salmon guacamole Benedict too. Staffs are very friendly & caring as well. There was a line for 15-20 min wait but definitely worth it. Highly recommendedView more
Pistachio & tiramisu latte are very unique. I think the tiramisu is better personally. The eggs benedicts were good, there isn't too much difference between all three choices since it's the same sauce. The mushroom > the jambon. The croque madame was a bit too heavy.View more
We recently visited Antipode & tried a variety of dishes, including the Shakshuka, Croque Madame, Chicken Waffle, Burrata, & Mushroom Eggs Benedict. While the food tasted decent, it didn't quite meet our expectations, especially after standing in line for about an hour. The dishes were well-presented, but the flavors were just average & lacked that wow factor. For the time & effort it took to get a table, I was hoping for a more memorable dining experience. However, I must say their drinks were the highlight of our visit. The Espresso Martini was perfectly balanced, the Tiramisu Latte had a delightful hint of sweetness, & the Pistachio Latte was a unique & delicious treat. Overall, while the food was okay, the standout beverages were what made the visit worthwhile. In my opinion, Antipode is deserving of a 3-star rating-good drinks but not necessarily worth the long wait just for the food.View more
We hosted a private dinner at Antipode in August 2024 for about 40 people. Everything - from the communication leading to the evening, the service, & the food - was absolutely amazing. The food, of course the most important thing- was amazing & abundant. Every guest was filled to the brim but couldn't stop eating for how delicious it was. We had a tasting menu that started with a cocktail & then the following across three services: tuna ceviche with homemade tortilla chips, eggplant croquettes, salmon tartare, Korean fried chicken, burrata with focaccia, beef tataki, truffle pasta, & a pistachio/nutella/strawberry beignet dessert. I wish I had taken better pictures but every dish was aesthetically gorgeous & tasted absolutely incredible. The restaurant is also beautiful. It's intimate & has walls that open onto the street & the restaurant's patio. The owner, Nick, was so kind & accommodating throughout. We had some fussy toddlers & babies & he did everything possible to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. If you're thinking about Antipode for your private event, or for a weekend dinner with friends or family, do not hesitate! Just go! We will be coming back again & again for dinner & I can't wait for the next opportunity to host another private event. Milles merci Nick & team!View more
I recently visited Antipode & was really impressed with their food. The Benedict was absolutely delicious-perfectly cooked with generous portions that were both filling & savory. It's definitely something I'd recommend to anyone looking for a hearty & satisfying meal. The drinks were a bit of a mixed bag, though. The pistachio latte was great, with a nice, nutty flavor that complemented the meal well. However, the matcha latte could use some work-it was a bit underwhelming & didn't have the rich, smooth taste I was hoping for. Overall, a solid experience & I'd definitely come back for the Benedict!View more
I ordered the pistachio latte & the yuzu French toast & both were really good. The presentation was a 10/10 also . Definitely coming back. Only thing is it takes a little bit of time to get a table since it's really busy (even though I went on a Monday thinking it would be less busy) so keep that in mind .View more
This spot doesn't take reservations, so you might have to wait in line before being seated, but it's absolutely worth it. The food is a true work of art-creamy, rich, & bursting with flavor. The lattes, whether pistachio or tiramisu, are a must-try. A special thanks to Mathieu & Juliette for their warm smiles & impeccable service. The only downside is that it can get a bit uncomfortable indoors on hot, humid days. Nonetheless, I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in Montréal!View more
Saumon fumé & guacamole 4/5 Benedict eggs with smoked salmon & guacamole. A refreshing taste. Croque Truffe 4.5/5 Ham & truffle cheese sandwich, quite good. Gaufre & Poulet 4.5/5 It tastes like Korean fried chicken. The flavor is delicious, but it's too common for us. Pain Perdu yuzu 3.5/5 The presentation is very nice, & the pear is quite special, but the taste is just okay. Latte Pistachio 5/5 Latte Tiramisu 4.5/5 Latte Lavande 3/5 The ambiance of the restaurant is particularly beautiful, with decor featuring elements of greenery & sculptures.View more
Plethora of coffee options Must try their pistachio & London fogView more
Excellent brunch spot with wide open windows for a hybrid indoor-outdoor experience. Atmosphere is really welcoming, with Greek-hellenistic & postmodern art on the walls & around. Service: excellent. Juliette, our waitress, was attentive & kind. She serviced us in both English & French, took our orders immediately & refilled water frequently. We went for noon on a Sunday, waited a out 35 minutes in line, not bad at all since this place is viral on social media. Drinks: Went for the tiramisu latte (cold) & pistachio latte (warm). Both live up to the hype. Food: passion fruit pancakes had super flavorful sauces, mix of yuzu passionfruit Jelly & hazelnut. The pancake itself was fluffy, but could be a bit more moist & buttery. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon & guacamole was sublime. TDLR: definitely worth the hype. Delicious food & drinks. Not a long line up for the value. Worth it A+++View more
They do not take reservations, so a lengthy wait in line is to be expected on a weekend, but it's not too bad. Once our party of two was seated, the waiter took forever to come & take our order. We took the infamous "Cochon" lattes (pistachio & speculos) which were insanely expensive & overpriced (the most expensive latte I've ever had). They were not even worth it. The coffee wasn't even pistachio/biscoff flavored, only the rim of the glass!!! Terribly disappointing for 8,50$ ! Then we chose the pain perdu & the chicken & waffles for our main. The pain perdu was quite good, very much autumn flavors, & the chicken & waffles were decent. We waited a good 45 minutes for our coffees & main to come! Our waiter would tend to other tables a lot quicker than ours. Once we finally received the bill, they charged me 1$ extra for the pain perdu, which was 23$ on the menu. I was so disappointed that I did not want to leave any tip. Will not be returning!View more
The service was great & we had the pistachio & hazelnut latte. They were amazing & creamy, though those can be a dessert of their own since they're pretty heavy. The place is so pretty & lovely for pictures. Truly a perfect Instagram spot & it didn't feel like a tourist trap.View more
I think people have brainwashed themselves into thinking this is a good brunch spot.. Week after week I see lineups at this place of these influencers all dressed up waiting to get in. Luckily, I was able to get a table right away & it proceeded to take 2 hours from start to finish to get our drinks & food. Is it because the place is so sought after or is it because the service is so slow? The pistachio latte is beautiful so if you want to take a pretty picture for Instagram, it's great.. but take away the crusted glass rim & it's a pretty mediocre coffee. The eggs Benedict was nothing to write home about & at 24$ with no side you can get better elsewhere. We also tried their pain perdu which was really good at first but it gets really sweet, real fast. Beautiful decor & ambience but at over 100$ for 2 ppl for brunch, it's a little too pretentious for my palette.View more
Came just for the pistachio latte & Croque Madame ! The truffle mushroom croque was a nice change but i definitely prefer the classic on a croissant ! Be prepared for outside lineup. Friendly customer service Bonus point for cheese skirtsView more
Had croque madame which was good but the bottom part has a strange taste. Feels like pistachio latte has spice in it so prefer latte tiramisu.View more
Just like the other people who didn't get the hype of this place, appreciated the chocolatine that they offered. Food is good but doesn't blow your mind & definitely not worth 1.5h wait😅 There are some other places who have the same or better quality than this place for sure. Only the latte is instagrammable & quite good (if you like it thick bc of the pistachio paste) but that's it 😂View more
