Great place for brunch! The food looks amazing & tastes even better. We had the salmon Benedict, shakshuka, croque madame, & the special pain perdu. The drinks, especially the tiramisu & Bueno lattes, were delicious. Service was great - a small delay in drinks, but the manager offered us a complimentary cocktail. Highly recommend!View more

Heard a lot of buzz about this place, so I finally went for brunch one afternoon. The seating is a little cramped & not ideal for kids, if you ask me. I always like places with a small menu, so they can nail everything they make. The food was alright, & the drinks looked cool. We got a bunch of drinks, & they all tasted pretty unique, which was a surprise. The fried chicken was a bit overcooked & the meat on the eggs benedict was a bit dry, but not deal breakers. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, but there are some other good spots around there too. P.S.: Expect to stand in line for a bit to get in if you cannot make it the first hour of when it opens.View more

A bit pricey, but the food is worth it.
I tried the Oeufs Beurre Noisette with Merguez & it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was a flavour bomb. The varying textures of the soft poached eggs, the crunchy nuts & the crispy-soft falafels takes this dish to the next level.
The drinks are pretty instagrammable but not that good (or maybe I didn't order a good one)View more

went on a tuesday midday in january, was seated immediately, went alone bcs i'm not waiting for my friends to free themselves up for me & sure it was not busy & the volume was nice, had a little read & it didn't bother me, given i was wearing noise-cancelling headphones. very pretty café! nice waiting staff, on their shit, no note for them. i noticed on the menu was a distinct lack of descriptions for the meals - who cares for the drinks but the meals? it's... rare, let's say. am i supposed to know the menu already? right. so i went with the dutch baby pancake which i know as pannenkoeken. (i was expecting poffertjes from the name bcs i'm not familiar with the english version of dutch dishes). i couldn't finish it, too full of crumble, apple mash & apple slices & the added caramel was unnecessary - just too sweet overall - & i wished i know there was caramel bcs i really hate caramel. & it's like... here i was expecting the classic pannenkoeken, but it resembled more of an apple crisp that was never heated - which leads me to add that i think it took too much time for the dutch baby pancake to come out. i'm not sure if it was intended to be cold or hot but i'd reckon that it was supposed to be hot bcs there was a ice cream scoop on top & it definitely did not melt & the pancake was definitely cold... i mean, isn't it the gimmick targeted in adding ice cream on top? the clash between hot & cold? i also noticed was that the chai latte i had was not a f**king chai latte, thank you. literally 80% of it is foam, no milk in the actual chai, tasted like hot water with a mini spike of cinnamon bcs there was some of the ring of the cup. there was also lavender added in - another thing a description on the menu should have mentioned. didn't even drink 20% of that, left it alone, for god's sake. in the end, very lackluster, down right disappointing. for the price & alledged popularity, i'd look elsewhere or make it myself at home (def doable) bcs who the f**k cares if it's pretty & instagrammable if the food isn't doing it? right. maybe the other things on the menu are good but... i sure won't be finding out.View more

4.5/5 ⭐️ We visited on a Sunday for brunch so it was very busy. We waited outside for about 30 minutes then once we were seated it took about 45-60 mins to get our food. I can't blame the service since I could tell they were trying their best with how busy it was! We got our drinks, a pistachio latte & nutella smarties drink, soon after ordering & they were phenomenal. It might be the best drink I've had & it was very aesthetic! We had the chakchouka classique & champignon & truffle eggs benedict - the only critique I have is that the sauce used for the eggs benedict has anchovies so my partner could not try the otherwise vegetarian dish. The chakchouka was vegetarian & I like how they included a side of hummus & olives as well. As a dessert we had the pain du perdu which was incredible. I'm not a fan of French toast but wow! The outside was crunchy & reminiscent of cinnamon sugar churros & the inside was soft. It seems the bread is made in house. It came with a variety of toppings as well & was very beautifully plated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting something sweet during brunch hours. So, although we had to wait a long time, the service was very friendly & the food was absolutely worth it. It makes sense that it was so busy! If possible I would try to come back on a weekday & also try the teatime menu.View more

The best place for a Coffee, Drink & Snack in town! Especially if you're looking for the'instgramable' effect in everything - from the vibe, to the drinks & food. It was visible that everyone behind the counter was putting in the effort to design every plate with attention to detail. The mini french toast was a great finisher & the Croque Madame was a clear winner! There was simply so much going on with a simple coffee, all we could say was Wow. This is clearly a popular place because there was a long waiting line/queue & it took us around 35 minutes to be seated, but it was worth it. A waitress came out & served chocolate pastries to everyone who was waiting which was a nice gesture. Both the dishes & the drinks are thoughtfully crafted & are as good as they look, but if I go again I probably wouldn't order the lavender latte (was average).View more

We recently visited Antipode & tried a variety of dishes, including the Shakshuka, Croque Madame, Chicken Waffle, Burrata, & Mushroom Eggs Benedict. While the food tasted decent, it didn't quite meet our expectations, especially after standing in line for about an hour. The dishes were well-presented, but the flavors were just average & lacked that wow factor. For the time & effort it took to get a table, I was hoping for a more memorable dining experience. However, I must say their drinks were the highlight of our visit. The Espresso Martini was perfectly balanced, the Tiramisu Latte had a delightful hint of sweetness, & the Pistachio Latte was a unique & delicious treat. Overall, while the food was okay, the standout beverages were what made the visit worthwhile. In my opinion, Antipode is deserving of a 3-star rating-good drinks but not necessarily worth the long wait just for the food.View more

I recently visited Antipode & was really impressed with their food. The Benedict was absolutely delicious-perfectly cooked with generous portions that were both filling & savory. It's definitely something I'd recommend to anyone looking for a hearty & satisfying meal. The drinks were a bit of a mixed bag, though. The pistachio latte was great, with a nice, nutty flavor that complemented the meal well. However, the matcha latte could use some work-it was a bit underwhelming & didn't have the rich, smooth taste I was hoping for. Overall, a solid experience & I'd definitely come back for the Benedict!View more

I had heard so much about this place so I was really excited to try it, but to my disappointment the food & drinks did not justify the cost. I got waffles+chicken (vege) & the waffles were dry & flavourless, & the vege chickn was just too sweet & greasy. The staff were nice in my experience, but I don't think I'll be coming back just because you can find better brunch in Montreal for a much more affordable price.View more

Excellent brunch spot with wide open windows for a hybrid indoor-outdoor experience. Atmosphere is really welcoming, with Greek-hellenistic & postmodern art on the walls & around. Service: excellent. Juliette, our waitress, was attentive & kind. She serviced us in both English & French, took our orders immediately & refilled water frequently. We went for noon on a Sunday, waited a out 35 minutes in line, not bad at all since this place is viral on social media. Drinks: Went for the tiramisu latte (cold) & pistachio latte (warm). Both live up to the hype. Food: passion fruit pancakes had super flavorful sauces, mix of yuzu passionfruit Jelly & hazelnut. The pancake itself was fluffy, but could be a bit more moist & buttery. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon & guacamole was sublime. TDLR: definitely worth the hype. Delicious food & drinks. Not a long line up for the value. Worth it A+++View more

This brunch spot is incredibly popular. Been waiting to try this place with my sister for a while & we weren't disappointed! Since we went on a Saturday lunch, we had to wait for around 20 minutes (not long compared to other people waiting more than an hour). They were so friendly & thoughtful, even offered me & my sister a table with good views & lighting since it was pretty obvious that we girls would love to take nice photos here. The food was unbelievably delicious - the best brunch we've had in Montreal. The drinks were cute, delicate & good pairing with the food we ordered as well.View more

They have good food & drinks selection. However, it took so long before we got the food. We arrived before everyone else got there so we didn't have to wait in line. When we sat, there was a long wait already. 2 people in our group got the poke bowl & it was just okay. The coffee options were really good. The chai latter was amazing too! I think people have brainwashed themselves into thinking this is a good brunch spot.. Week after week I see lineups at this place of these influencers all dressed up waiting to get in. Luckily, I was able to get a table right away & it proceeded to take 2 hours from start to finish to get our drinks & food. Is it because the place is so sought after or is it because the service is so slow? The pistachio latte is beautiful so if you want to take a pretty picture for Instagram, it's great.. but take away the crusted glass rim & it's a pretty mediocre coffee. The eggs Benedict was nothing to write home about & at 24$ with no side you can get better elsewhere. We also tried their pain perdu which was really good at first but it gets really sweet, real fast. Beautiful decor & ambience but at over 100$ for 2 ppl for brunch, it's a little too pretentious for my palette.View more

Tbh not worth waiting in the rain for an hour. Just to get a cute pic of the drinks & food, which were mediocre for its price. The inside of the restaurant was HUMID (didn't help that we were packed like sardines in there). My friend had ordered a chicken & waffle dish, which she had found hair in. When receiving the bill, she kindly notified the waiter (even letting him know that the food was good) which he shrugged off & didn't bother to apologize.View more
