Such a great concept to have a decreasing price by the hour & unlimited coffee/tea & snacks. Amazing vibe inside as well.
I was in Montreal for a month & the Anticafe was my co-working space for all of that time. It took me a while decide if it was a cafe masquerading as a co-working space or a co-working space masquerading as a cafe but in the end it doesn't rate well as a cafe (for me at least) but it is pretty awesome as a co-working space. It is missing things from more regular co-working spaces like phone booths & lockets but it has a nice vibe, the staff are great & the art decorating the walls is fun & quirky.
Oh... Tea, (barista) coffee & snacks are included in their curious pay for the time you're there scheme. & if you're there all day it is VERY affordable.
This place is so unique. You can just focus on your work & not worry about how hungry you get because you can have as much snacks & drinks as you want & you only pay by the hour.
I definitely recommend this place if you want to just focus on your work & have anything you might want close by.
The cafe itself is very cozy & nicely decorated, helping me enjoy the little breaks as well with a nice view & air conditioning on hot days.
The staff are super friendly & helpful.
I highly recommend & will myself stop there more often to support such unique & valuable businesses.
Wowow! I am amazed. I have never experienced something like that before. This is such a welcoming place & I felt really comfortable. You can order as many drinks as you want & they even have snacks. You pay for the time you spend there. Anticafe has different floors & many different rooms to choose from. I would definitely come back!!😍
I have always passed by this café but never had the chance to visit until yesterday. There was a lovely event organized by three wonderful sisters, Yvette, Annie, & Ines, called "Tribe" (it was their first experience hosting it). The event was about swapping gifts brought from home, whether new, old, used, or unused. The atmosphere was warm & cozy, with all snacks included, & you could order as many drinks as you wanted. The café itself is amazing; every corner & room has its own character. The antique furniture, decor, & the thoughtful organization of each space truly make you feel at home. Upon entering, you write down your name (whether it's your first visit or you're a regular), change into slippers, wash your hands, & choose where to sit. You can then help yourself to a variety of foods from the kitchen area, including eggs, veggies, hummus, popcorn, biscuits, & a range of coffee & tea options. The matcha I had was perfect, especially with the special preparation by Sofi, the barista, who added lemon, sugar, & ginger. Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy any of the snacks due to my gluten-free diet, which was a downside for me. I hope they might consider adding more fruits, veggies, & gluten-free snacks in the future. Additionally, the café has many microwaves, a printer, & board games, making it a great spot to study, work, relax, or enjoy some snacks, tea, & a good book. You only pay for the time you spend there, & if you're there for more than five hours, the maximum cost is $21, including taxes. I highly recommend this place!
I was in Montreal looking for a place to work & was really happy to have found Anticafe. I love the concept: you pay for your stay on an hourly basis & get access to excellent specialty coffee, tea, & unlimited snacks. The atmosphere is great. With its two-story layout, it was easy for me to find a spot I liked. Overall, it's a fantastic place & highly recommended!
pros: cool concept, cozy vibes, pretty decor, speedy service, drinks were very tasty, & the staff was happy to explain the concept to newcomers :) cons: limited snack options (no rice or hot chocolate or chai or hummus or yogurt), very cold in the bathrooms, wifi was slow at times, we saw a mouse, & one of the baristas laughed at my friends on two separate occasions :( maybe miscommunication but it left a bad feeling & they didn't feel entirely welcome requesting more drinks
I come here a bit too frequently ahaha. The place is amazing, the price & quality of food & snacks matches well. Whenever I go to the place, the staffs change but I became friends with a few of them they're very very friendly🥰 The environment is very quiet & chill too, it's a great place to focus & do my work. Will keep visiting:)
This is a great place to work from! You just pay for your time there & you have access to all the beverages & snacks. There is a cafe downstairs if you need to eat an actual meal, & they'll give you a discount is you are from the Anticafe. Their iced matcha latte was really good, & there was a lot of space to sit & work from.
Such an amazing atmosphere to do work, love the different levels & all of the snacks. Got the most delicious ice chai from the sweetest employee sophie.
un grand grand oui foncez (pas trop parce qu'après y'aura plus de places pour moi) un endroit merveilleux qui ne peut que vous rendre de bonne humeur (post-breakup c'est pas mal aussi y'a des snacks à volonté)
Gem of montreal for students . Pros: Free serve on snacks , unlimited coffee (you pay the hours not the consumption) , chill & laid back environment (i was walking around with my socks) , nice quiet room for yourself or a group. I believe there's wifi but i cant recall . People are such a vibe there , its a perfect squat for group of friend trying to hang out everywhere but outside. It genuinely feels like a proper home with the kitchen that is at your service, you can wear slippers provided by them etc etc. every little details feels like a 24/7 house! Cons: too busy . I mean if its good its known 😂
a beautiful & cozy space! felt really productive working here today. really good selection of hot drinks, the london fog is amazing! a good selection of snacks (nuts, chips, cookies, popcorn) but I wish they would include something acidic, like sour candies, fruits or fruit juice!
I love this place! It's a safe heaven for those who want to study or read a book in a quiet environment, it can also do for those who want to work away from home. There many rooms that you can use. It's chargable per hour up to 20$ max with unlimited coffee & snacks. The place is mostly busy with students, so no kids are allowed in.
Alternative co-working space with a cooperative like atmosphere. You pay for the time you stay & you can get access to snacks & drinks. It is perfect if you need to concentrate to work on a solo project but also to have meetings/calls. There are several rooms & semi-private table arrangements. Lots of plants & cool stuff & art to look through during your breaks!
