Review Summary

Antep Kabab is widely regarded as a standout destination in Montreal for authentic Turkish cuisine, with many patrons praising the exceptionally fresh, house-made bread and tender, charcoal-grilled meats. Regulars often highlight the consistency and flavor of the sandwiches, particularly the chicken and lamb options, as a reason they return for years. While the food consistently earns high marks for quality and taste, the overall customer experience is polarized; some guests appreciate the efficient, no-frills service and friendly atmosphere, while others express frustration regarding rising prices, shrinking portion sizes, and occasional instances of unprofessional staff interactions. Despite these concerns and the inconvenience of a cash-only payment policy, the majority of visitors consider the restaurant a must-visit gem that brings a true taste of Istanbul to the downtown area.

Very delicious food. The bread is made by them & is very fresh. The other ingredients taste great as well. So far the best Turkish food place I know.

Great sandwich! Seems like they used a freshly baked bun (I'm not sure if that's actually the case or not). It tasted great, & there was a lot of meat inside. The meat almost tasted barbecued.

The kebab here is just really good. Fresh bread made in house, well balanced with a nice sauce & vegetables. Nothing fancy, just solid food done right. One of the best bites in Montreal.

This has to be one of the best kebab spots in the area, the fresh baked bread coupled with the delicious kebab & condiments made for a perfect dinner sandwich. Will definitely be visiting again!

Reminds me of Istanbul! The meat melts in ur mouth! The bread is freshly made, everything is fresh & clean. I had the lamb sandwich. The prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic kebab, hands down the best I have had in Montreal. I had their Antep kebab sandwich, it was truly an incredible experience from the first bite to the last.

However, Antep's biggest flaw is not its cooking but its customer service, which is extremely poor. Rude service can be somewhat acceptable if paired with fast, efficient service. But when the manager is on her phone, talking without taking orders & reacting unprofessionally to one of your questions ('Do you serve rice?') - unfortunately, that is where I draw the line.

It is a good, solid place to come & grab a sandwich. Be prepared to be blown away by how well their freshly baked sesame bread pairs with their seasoned meat. Just do not expect any kindness from the manager, the owners (The Turkish man, I presume) or the chefs.

Highly recommend it if you just look past the unprofessional service.
