From the team behind Ristorante Beatrice, Améa is a Mediterranean-inspired gourmand resto / pizzeria + coffee shop nestled within Montreal’s historic Maison Alcan building.

Améa Café se présente comme un espace vaste et élégant, avec une ambiance cosy et lumineuse qui invite aussi bien à travailler qu’à se détendre, et une offre variée de boissons, de pâtisseries et de plats méditerranéens où chaque détail visuel semble soigné. Les avis mettent en avant des desserts et des viennoiseries frais et créatifs, des croissants pistache et des croissants supreme, un café de qualité et des options brunch ou lunch appréciables, parfois complétés par des pizzas ou des plats nourrissants. Le cadre attire par ses nombreuses places et ses zones dédiées au travail ou au calme; toutefois la fréquentation peut être bruyante et les files d’attente longues, et certaines portions sont jugées petites ou les prix élevés pour ce qu'elles apportent. We went out for a coffee day with our girlies in our traditional attire , it was a great experience , awesome ambience & ofcourse super tasty food , well presented with really great service . Would love to go again 💛
Food visually appealing, can't say the same for the taste. Overall taste is okay, not great. We got the pistachio supreme, the avocado mushroom crostini & the roasted chicken & pesto sandwich.
For drinks, we got the blue matcha & the rose matcha, they both didn't have much of a matcha taste, mostly tasted like milk & they were also grainy. Low quality matcha.
The service & the atmosphere were good. Just really disappointed with the food, considering the price too.
Mets originaux. Le gâteau/croissant à la crème de pistache est excellent ! Il y a beaucoup de places, assez confortables. La musique est forte mais aide à amoindrir les discussions ambiantes. Le décor est très aéré & agréable.
The pistachio latte is amazing! Also their croissant (the regular) is so buttery & fluffy, it is absolutely worth going there for it. Their specialty croissant ( pistachio filling) didn't live up to the hype. The dough itself was stale & the filling was too sugary & artificial tasting. The atmosphere though is great for a chill morning. I went there three times just for the vibes!
