Their poutine was awesome! I wanted to try it after seeing great recommendations on Reddit from locals, & it totally lived up to the hype. We got their classic poutine, which was super tasty, & the portion was huge with tons of cheese curds. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for an authentic classic poutine.
After hearing all the hype, finally made it out to the suburbs to try this mythical casse-croute.... Easily the best poutine in the Montreal region (the amount of cheese used is borderline obscene), big surprise was the steamies as they are also elite.
The service is fantastic as they amount of customers we saw them serve was impressive.
Their poutine portion was generous but, it just wasn't my favorite poutine, more cheese than fries & the gravy wasn't my favorite. My steamies were great.
$12 for a small poutine but the size is indeed plentiful! Cheese does the squish squish too! First time there & staff is very nice. Had about 2-3 people before me, total time was probably 5-6mins to get my food which was fast:)
Went for the poutine & wasn't disappointed! We got the classic & the smoked meat poutine. The squeaky cheese was the highlight! The gravy was excellent, but a lil salty. Definitely recommend this if you are looking for a classic old school poutine.
After reading all the reviews online, I decided to drive 30 mins one-way to see if this fast food restaurant lived up to its name.
I ordered two steamed all-dressed hotdogs, one Michigan hot dog & one medium-size poutine.
All-dressed hot dog: your typical all-dressed hot dog. What was special was the sweet-flavoured coleslaw topping, unlike other places.
Michigan: sauce was good.
Poutine: THAT was special ! Cheese, gravy & fries were ALL UNIQUE! The cheese makes a rubber sound when you chew it. The fries were SOOOO soft ! & the gravy was just perfect !
Definitely the poutine is hands down the best I’ve had.
Atmosphere was pleasant. Lots of customers taking out & dining in. Quite surprising.

Let's just put it this way, would you like to taste the best poutine of your life? Here's the place. I consider myself a regular & I wouldn't change a thing. Love the cheese texture & taste, the fries are always on point & the gravy is gooooood. Amazing deal in terms of pay/product. The portions are more than generous. The environment is a classic. I'll be coming back.
I haven't tried many dishes here so far, but their poutine is the best ever; they use BBQ sauce instead of Hot Chicken sauce & not only are their fries soft & crispy at the same time, but they also add a TON of poutine cheese, which is awesome! ----- Chacun sait que cet endroit est le meilleur pour la poutine!
Worth the hype! Poutine has so much cheese curds & it's drenched in sauce. The sauce is not too salty so you keep eating more. You know the cheese is super fresh, when you hear the squick squick!
$12 for the petite (small) poutine - & it's massive ! The most cheese I've ever had on a poutine , I couldn't believe it. Squeaky, real quality curds. The sauce is on the tangy side & I liked that. The staff are not friendly but that adds to the flavour lol this is a must try for a classic poutine !
I tried their poutine, which they are known for. But i thought it was just okay. Yes it has a lot of squeaky cheese, which is great. But their sauce is light & flavourless. The fries were too mushy. The price is 12$ with tax.
Saw this recommendation from someone on Reddit for one of the best poutines in the area so we went & tried it & we were not disappointed! Defenitely ask for extra cheese curds! Cute little establishment with Friendly staff. Cash only but they have an atm.
The special submarine was really packed with meats & nicely topped compared to other places. The portions were really generous for the price you pay. The regular & Italian poutines were delicious & packed with squeaky cheese. It was worth the trip as we do not live in the area. We will definitely be back.
The "small" poutine is loaded with cheese & fries. There was so much food it was hard for me to finish. In my opinion the sauce could use more flavouring, but overall it's fantastic & I look forward to going back. Be aware they only accept cash.
