The atmosphere is frequently described as serene and welcoming, making it an ideal setting for both intimate meals and large group gatherings. Many patrons appreciate the convenience of the bring-your-own-wine policy and the attentive, friendly nature of the staff, who are often noted for their professional and efficient service. Despite the occasional critique regarding dish pacing or temperature, the overall consensus highlights a delightful culinary destination that provides great value and a memorable, hospitable environment that encourages return visits.
L'accueil était chaleureux & notre table, propre.
We were so excited to visit the new Sawadika location. We were frequent customers in Saint-Laurent, & were saddened by the closure due to the fire. We travelled over an hour to get I the restaurant & it was well worth it! Everything was delicious & the service as impeccable as always. We will definitely make the trek again!
This has been our favourite Thai-Szechuan restaurant for years. Unfortunately, their original location in Ville Saint-Laurent had to close after a fire broke out in the neighbouring business in the same building. Thankfully, they reopened in St-Hubert on the South Shore-but it's an even bigger trek for us: 98 km one way (the original location was about half that distance).
Despite the over one-hour drive & 196 km round trip, it was absolutely worth it! The food is every bit as delicious & consistently excellent as it's always been, & the staff remain some of the friendliest & most welcoming around.
The food arrives piping hot, beautifully prepared, & packed with flavour. The all-you-can-eat menu is an incredible value, with freshly made dishes brought right to your table based on your selections.
The peanut dumplings are pure heaven & an absolute must-order! Other favourites include the imperial rolls, papaya salad, crispy sesame beef, lime chicken, General Thai chicken, rainbow beef, tofu with vegetables in basil sauce, & vegetable fried rice-to name just a few. Honestly, we've never had a bad dish here. Everything on the menu is delicious.
Another bonus is that it's bring your own wine, so don't forget to pack your favourite bottle before heading out.
If you're wondering whether the drive is worth it, our answer is a resounding yes. We'll happily make the trip again for food this good!
Great experience as always. We have been coming to their old location for years & we're looking forward to their reopening. Ben & Eddy are great hosts & welcome you like family. Thanks again for your great hospitality!
We always enjoyed this place, however, this place caught on fire & not sure if they will reopen.
They were always happy to accomodate for allergies & make me some Plant Based options (Vegan)
