Pretty quick. Open 24 hours!
In & out, Food weighed by the gram from buffet counter. Excellent selection.
. In over 100 meals there, never had upset stomach. Delicious. The bread, they offer free with meals +ask for it. ( if right out of their oven is amazing!)
Tables up stairs are functional, hard chairs. . Granite topped counter on ground is nice, but too high. I'm average hgt...& on their high stools,- my toes were dangling 3' off the floor. Prices up since last year.
Great selection of vegetables & salads for a build-your-own plate purchased by weight at a fair price.
I've been coming to Al-Taib for the past two years as it's always been a go to spot because of its affordability & being on campus plus the staff is very friendly. But I was really disappointed today by the price increase. A plate from the hot bar used to cost me around $9-$11, maybe $13-$14 if I was getting a lot. Today, my plate came out to $19 with tip, & it didn't even leave me full.
The food has always been decent for the price, but at $19 for the big plate (& $15 for the small one), it just isn't worth it anymore, especially when the chicken & rice were dry & cold. It seems like another affordable staple slipped away😔
Someone found my wallet outside & Ama found the only piece of paper with any contact information inside, folded up small & called me within minutes of me having lost it. I have enjoyed their food before, great flavor with great prices & this is just additional proof, great people. Anyways, stop by for a half & half Zaatar all dressed.
Changed from 5 stars to 3 stars as their prices have increased. A bowl of their buffet food priced by weight, which would be 13-14$ is now 17-18$. Very Unfortunate, was my go-to as a student, not anymore :(
I used to like the place, especially for the zatar pitas, but recently the prices have gone way up & the zatars aren't as good as they used to. Topplings weren't fresh & I found what appeared to be a piece of bone or plastic in the sandwich They also removed the cool water refills... Yet another indicator of how Montreal just keeps going down.
This Restaurant is ideal for students & professionals alike, it provide generous portions for a very economical price compared to many similar eateries in Downtown. The restaurant has spacious seating upstairs if you want to bring family or a group of friends to enjoy a meal. Today I opted for Zaatar ( A Syrian/arabic origin flatbread dish) it was fresh, crisp & full of flavors.
Instant,Fresh, nutritious & healthy food at a very reasonable price. Strongly recommend.
The food at Al Taib is delicious, fresh & very well priced. I love the buffet style & the freshly baked items. Definitely a hidden gem.
I only tried the fatayer & it was really tasty. Will go try other delicacies. Prices are reasonable & affordable!
One of the oldest Halal take out place with lots of options including Pizza Salads & Middle eastern Food. Prices are very reasonable & portions are great. Also open till late or i guess 24 hrs because we had food at 4am.
