Particularly impressed with the highly knowledgeable & friendly bilingual staff. Food is quite good. ( winter menu) & prices reasonable. Great place to game with friends, family or coworkers.View more
Welcoming staff, good selection of games to play. We came for lunch & a game, & although the menu was a little limited, their cheeseburger was fantastic.View more
This is the place every gamer needs to visit in Montreal. Wide selection of tabletop & board games, including games that are hard to find, a great paint & hobby tool section, & a good selection of used models for sale make this a great one-stop-shop for all your hobby needs. Mix in a full restaurant & gaming spaces & you've got an experience most stores dream of offering. The staff are also wonderful & very helpful.View more
Très belle place pour faire des game de 40k & la bouffe es vraiment & oublie pas de regarder le magasin pour vos bord gameView more
It's got the best parts of a board game café, bar & restaurant. Nice staff & a store to go shopping for new Magic cards. Highly recommend for fnm!View more
I come here every week, it is honestly the best game bar in montreal! Better than randolph 100%. The workers are so sweet & nice & they go above & beyond to make your experience enjoyable. (Shoutout Arthur & the owner). Theres no entry fee! You only have to buy a consommation which is fair for the experience. They are willing to help you find a good game if they are not too busy! The food is good for the price & they have a nice selection of games! I cannot get tired of this place! Since i come every week the menu is becoming redundant but if you come once in a while you will be very happy of the food & the games.View more
They have a very large assortment of games (FR + EN), & some food & drinks. The basement has lots of warhammer. Here I learned about this gigantic, 3D version of Catan. Lots of fun!View more
Great place to go & play games with friends/groups, the food is excellent. Lots of people from different game communities go there to play everyday of the week, like star wars legion, MCP, 40k etc. The basement is full of tables to play, a lot of terrain & mats available to use, there is a lot of place too. They also hold many tournaments & event throughout the year. Very good selection of games are available to purchase, overall a very good game store 👌View more
Amazing place. Went there for my boyfriend birthday & the staff were all very friendly, great services & smiles. Arthur was especially attentif & cheerful ( also love his taste in music 😊) Tons of boardgames you can play & some are rarely seen on other boardgames stores. They not only have the easy casual games, but some more advanced complex games for those who wants more. Great for exploring or tested new games. Recommend 100% for boardgames fans!!!View more
Great spot with lots of options for board games & prices are cheap compared to other places with similar themes as there is no entry fee instead you just need to order a drink or food the staff was great aswellView more
Here is a great place for a fun game night! The atmosphere is cozy, & the staff is super friendly, especially the waiter with blond hair & glasses-he was really nice & helpful. They have a fantastic selection of games. The only downside was the bubble tea, which was a bit too sweet. Overall, it's a wonderful spot to hang out & play games!View more
LOVED this place. Such a cute space to enjoy food, games & fun times. The service was great. The waitress was helpful as it was our first time. It's awesome that we could enjoy lunch & play any board games we wanted (in the shelf to borrow). Great way to test games we don't already have & to see if we wanna buy it afterwards (as they also sell most board games there too). Would def go again ✨View more
Arthur is the best server, ask for him. He's sweet & considerate of your enjoyment at Abyss. Food is yummy, reasonably priced & thanks to awesome staff there last night, we got phenomenally fast service despite them being low-staff. We were four, & some of my group noticed slight menu changes, as it was my first time I didn't mind. ***Also, important to note, they don't charge base or hourly fees*** Having only been to Randolph's before I was shocked at my bill at the end of the night (dessert, grilled cheese, three drinks & it was only 45 dollars before tax) There are a wide variety of games & they chose well based on our requirements. We started of with splendor, then unstable unicorns, then a card game of our reference. I saw plenty more that I didn't get to this time. 10/10 recommend ☺️View more
Food is great & the staff is kind. Just wish for a better game selection.View more

Great place to buy games & modelling supplies with an amazing bar & restaurant adjacent. The restaurant features a wall of board games, making this a fun spot for groups of any age, or mix of ages. The food on the nicely varied menu is good, prices are reasonable, & service is friendly. Plus, there's no shortage of parking nearby. If you're stepping out with friends or family you cannot avoid enjoying yourself.View more
The food is delicious, they have a wide variety of drinks & games, the ambiance is really nice! If you want the Randolph pub experience that's more chill & a bit lesst expensive, Abyss is a great option 🤟🤟View more
Lots of space to play games & very good food. I have played large tournaments here.View more
absolutely the best game store I have been in Canada. if your in the area check it out. You wont be disappointed.View more
This is a great game pub! Unlike some game pubs, it’s well lit so you can see what you’re playing. The sound is lively but not so loud that you can’t hear yourself think.
The food is good & varied & the drinks are well made.
The games store has a great selection of board games & miniature games with decent discounts. There’s a huge selection of paints.
I can’t recommend l’Abyss enough!View more
We regularly game at Abyss & always try to eat there during or after a game. Food is good value & served quite quickly. Staff are attentive & knowledgeable.
The large table in the private room is mostly meant for D&D events & not for traditional board games. However the food & drink service was great & the personnel was very helpful & friendly.
We travelled from Vancouver for an event at the store, & I was overwhelmed by the friendly welcome from the owner, staff, & other attendees here. Delicious poutine & lasagna sustained us during the day, & snacks & drinks in the evening capped off a fantastic day. The game & miniatures selection is superb. The basement terrain boards are the best I've seen in a game store - just amazing. What a treasure Montreal has in L'Abyss!
Great place to play games, paint minis, or just shop for specialty items you can't find anywhere else. Hosted multiple work events here & will definitely be coming back.
Great environment to game with friendly staff, good food, & ample gaming tables
