I'm very sad to see the new ownership removed the flair from the place , no music , no vibe . Mind you the chairs are very nice , it's very pretty to look at but I hope they make some changes to bring back the atmosphere. A new owner always has good intentions , but this place was packed , dishes clanking, hustle & bustle ! Now it's like a library , in & out no more sit with friends & chat .
Read a good book & vibe off of the music.
I once gave a 5 star rating .
Today I payed 30$ for avocado toast ( that wasn't toasted ?)
The matcha was lovely.
But 7$ for potato i can get at a&w?
I pray they get more vibe & go back to the plates they used to make . Sadly it kinda reminded me of hospital food?
The staff was very quiet & shy.
But the place was spotless & the presentation is very nice but I was kinda shocked . I gave it a try but sadly I think this will be my last visit.
Maybe they are catering to a different clientele.
5 Senses Restaurant has a lively boho vibe & a surprising amount of space-it's so much bigger on the inside! (Dr who wink) The music & ambiance are wonderful, & the art & greenery throughout the space add charm. I loved the windows & plants setup! However, once you step inside from the windows & entryway, the decor feels like walking into a museum-while that sounds fun in theory, you don't want to eat somewhere tasting ancient & dusty. So it personally didn't work as a restaurant for me. The crowded, thrift-store aesthetic, with busy ceilings & dusty hangings, felt misplaced & detracted from the dining experience. A cleaner, more cohesive look would better suit the space. Came with my girlfriends for Girl Brunch & the circular table helped us in sitting together & spilling tea. Also, has comfortable sofa couch seating that is really comfy, makes you want to stay longer, & gossip. The food was delicious, with generous portions i highly appreciate. Unfortunately, the staff was inattentive, with slow service & frequent forgetfulness. Whether it was a takeaway box, a glass of water, the bill, or even a bag, we had to repeatedly ask for the same things, which was frustrating. The aesthetic & seating made our Girl Brunch enjoyable for conversation & bonding, but the overall experience was let down by the poor service. Food: 5/5 (no complaints) Pricing: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Staff: 2/5 This place has potential but needs to refine its service & aesthetics to truly deliver the great dining experience its name suggests.
Food was tasty. Service was great. Vibe was a perfect cafe experience. I would highly recommend this cafe.
Very nice vibe & many options for food & drinks. I had a mojito & it was good. Vegan & vegetarian options.
Very nice place. Atmosphere 5/5. Food is very tasty & portions are good 5/5. Prices are reasonable for the location 5/5. Everything is self serve though including picking up your plates, picking up your own condiments & bringing empty plates back. A nice change from a regular bar/grill. Vibe is very chill. Would definitely come back here again next time!
The food, for the price, is phenomenal. Especially the sandwiches, baked goods, & café. The atmosphere/vibes is impeccable. I feel like this is the only place where you drink: eat breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert, & drink coffee or wine, go on a casual date, study, or hangout, all at one location. Music is good too.
The most underrated restaurant in Montreal!!! Everything here is amazing, the food is delicious they have breakfast lunch & dinner, the vibes are immaculate, the decor is so cool & the music is fun & chill. Masha served us & was super nice. Will be recommending this place to everyone I know. We got the Van Gogh panini & New York crepe & the portions were generous, cost us less than 20$ per person with coffee & a smoothie!
