cafe(24) decor(16) recommend(15) salad(13) coffee(12) breakfast(12) drink(12) crepe(12) busy(11)Very cute place but poor service The space where you want to come back to, an atmosphere is AMAZING, various menu(including ukrainian pierogi & pelmeni) really good food & big portions but you gotta be realy to wait your order 30-40 min even if it's not busy. Not the "bistro" speed We've been there 3 times during our stay in Montreal. Ordered just coffee to go at first & waited for it around 20 mins At the second time cafe was crowded & busy but we got our food really fast)& then at the third time food took 40 min ish (crepe) & coffee even longer but they didn't ask if it's hot or cold & made iced coffee instead of hot ones(( Remade then. Crepes & lemonades were delicious but glass wasn't clean... Cute sounds of birds in the washroom tho✨🦜View more
Service peu sympathique & très lent. Lunch ordinaire.View more
The place is so cute & we've been there several times, however you have a way of serving that is completely illogical. If the customer ordered something that needs no prep, like just a croissant, you make the customer wait for it until your turn comes up (after all the food that needs to be made like sandwiches etc), so we waited 30 minutes just to get the croissant, which was right there in the show counter in front of us. That makes no sense. At other cafés, if you order something like that, they just hand it to you when you pay. Much smoother process. The way ypu do it now, if a customer just wants fast a croissant, it's better to go the the cafe that's 2 doors down on the corner. A simple policy change can make a lot more happy customers.View more
The atmosphere is great ! This feels like a very nice place to hang out with friends at. The service is very nice. However, the bottled water was extremely expensive, & the brownie I got was very dry. Still, the hot chocolate was good, & I'd recommend this place for students & anyone in need of some art inspiration.View more
This was such a cute, cozy, & cool place to get food. I wasn't a fan of their rice but the carbonara, sandwich, pasta salad, & the highlight of the day were the crepes!! They were amazing! The coffee was really good too. It was just too hot inside! But everything else was nice!View more
a really cute spot that is easily missed due to the construction next door. there are neon signs all over the front, but inside is a whimsical space filled with decorative oddities/trinkets. order & pay at the counter. food will be served to you at your table. came here on a tuesday morning for breakfast. it was fairly empty. the service did take quite a bit as there was only one person who seemed to be working. ordered the shashuka (ok. very heavy on tomatoes), the strawberry chocolate crepe (ate it all), & the van gogh panini (a good light healthy option as it was barely seasoned) all in all, i didn't hate it. the atmosphere is what im mostly basing this review on. perhaps i will try other dishes the next time i come. i will say that the bread is super good.View more
Place is cute, the food & drinks are good, however the staff is rude & wait times are ridiculous. We were asked to wait 30mins before ordering our food because the kitchen staff were too busy -- there were only a handful of people & only three waiting for food. You can still take an order, that's ridiculous. People who ordered food over a half hour after us, got their food before us. We waited over an hour for our food, after waiting the initial 30mins. There were no glasses by the lemon water for 30mins, & as soon as there were it was only four at a time with an interval of over 30mins for four more. My partner got her food over 30mins before me. She was done before I got my food. When I went up to ask what the issue was, I waited 3mins for someone to even notice me. When I began to raise my concerns, I was told sorry by a kid & then she just walked away while I was still speaking! It does not take over 30mins to make three pancakes with some fruit. Staff seems rude, disorganized & extremely slow everytime we come here. Not sure what is going on, but foot traffic could greatly improve if staff could figure things out. Not sure if it's worth coming back when it's like this every single time.View more
Tranquille en ce milieu de matinée, charmant resto ! Les plats choisis étaient bons, & l'effort d'offrir un service en français malgré que ne soit pas la langue maternelle de la personne au comptoir, c'est apprécié!View more
I was only here for a quick drink (which was very tasty) but I absolutely loved the atmosphere here. It was almost like a secret den with so many interesting pieces & artwork all over the walls. I honestly could just get lost looking around. Plan to go back to enjoy the food soon & there seemed to be so much choice.View more
5 senses is a beautiful place to grab breakfast, read, & people watch as pedestrians walk down St. Catherine's street. Internet was not readily available & the salad was slightly underwhelming but I will return.View more
Generally bland food & coffee with an aggressively unhelpful attitude in nice decor. If you do go, the pancakes were good. Owner (if I am correct in who she was) seems nice but the staff is awful. I knew something might be off when we saw the unabashed use of Costco branded salt shakers on the tables. Hard to imagine that what you don't see will be good if what you *do* see shows a lack of concern for details. But the general decor was warm & funky.... & it was raining. So we stayed. No tables were clean so I asked for a napkin to clean my own table. We got one napkin. I asked again. I got one more...As if they were on ration. Silverware didn't arrive with the food & then took 5 minutes to arrive after the food. Muffin was dry & bland. As was the shakshuka. At least the Pain au chocolat & pancakes were good when they finally arrived. We asked for water. There was none available. Was told to wait 5 minutes. 10 minutes later we are still waiting. With so many great restaurants in Montreal, zero reason to go here.View more

This place impressed our group. The food is amazingly delicious, service very is quick. Portions are big. After having a meal, was no room for the dessert. The complimentary beverage was so yummy as well as all the other beverages. Their menu is quite big & covers all options including vegan & gluten free which was great for one of us. Overall, big thank you!View more
