5 Senses Restaurant has a lively boho vibe & a surprising amount of space-it's so much bigger on the inside! (Dr who wink) The music & ambiance are wonderful, & the art & greenery throughout the space add charm. I loved the windows & plants setup! However, once you step inside from the windows & entryway, the decor feels like walking into a museum-while that sounds fun in theory, you don't want to eat somewhere tasting ancient & dusty. So it personally didn't work as a restaurant for me. The crowded, thrift-store aesthetic, with busy ceilings & dusty hangings, felt misplaced & detracted from the dining experience. A cleaner, more cohesive look would better suit the space. Came with my girlfriends for Girl Brunch & the circular table helped us in sitting together & spilling tea. Also, has comfortable sofa couch seating that is really comfy, makes you want to stay longer, & gossip. The food was delicious, with generous portions i highly appreciate. Unfortunately, the staff was inattentive, with slow service & frequent forgetfulness. Whether it was a takeaway box, a glass of water, the bill, or even a bag, we had to repeatedly ask for the same things, which was frustrating. The aesthetic & seating made our Girl Brunch enjoyable for conversation & bonding, but the overall experience was let down by the poor service. Food: 5/5 (no complaints) Pricing: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Staff: 2/5 This place has potential but needs to refine its service & aesthetics to truly deliver the great dining experience its name suggests.View more

The menu is huge. It's very cozy in there gets kinda busy on a Sunday night. The service was a slow but the food was really good, definitely recommend the fish & chips. I would go back when it's not as busy.View more

Went for breakfast on a Friday morning & was disappointed with the service. The cafe was not very busy & it took around 40 minutes for our breakfast. & was about 15 minutes before they even noticed we hadn't received our black drip coffee yet. The menu sounds amazing, but I don't think the staff are capable of even making many of the things on the menu. The avocado toast was horrible, unseasoned with cold, soft bread. A sense of urgency would be good here. The music & overall ambiance is amazing, the art in the restaurant is stunning, however some of the things hanging could use a good dusting.View more

A place with relaxing & casual attitude ... layback & sort of random decorations. Foods are pretty good in general, you go order food, wait to get buzz to pick up. Self serve model, but sometimes they also bring food to you when it's not too busy. Ordered Tuna Poke & a few other items for a group of four. I'd say that it would be helpful if they use a bigger bowl for the Tuna Poke cuz it's a bit too small & there is no way to stir & mix them along with the sauce or half of the bowl will be out, no matter how careful you are. Other than that food is actually good.View more

I came here during the 2024 Jazz Fest for a quick bite & a large portion of the menu items were not available which was disappointing. I ended up getting the smoked salmon bagel which I found to be quite the rip off. $14 for a regular bagel with a bit of fish & a salad with no vegetables in it to speak of. & it was over a 10 minute wait as well. Very disappointing & should have went elsewhere for food but I was just hungry at that point. To be fair, I'll admit that at the end of the day during the busy period might account for the menu being so meager & it seemed like the staff was a bit swamped but if the value of the rest of the food is anything like the bagel option, I would not come back here. The atmosphere is nice & relaxed however.View more

What a cool place. I loved all the unique aspects of it. On our 4 day stay in Montreal this place was the best by far!! I would highly recommend this place, however that would mean it will get busy. I want this place back home.View more

Very cute place but poor service The space where you want to come back to, an atmosphere is AMAZING, various menu(including ukrainian pierogi & pelmeni) really good food & big portions but you gotta be realy to wait your order 30-40 min even if it's not busy. Not the "bistro" speed We've been there 3 times during our stay in Montreal. Ordered just coffee to go at first & waited for it around 20 mins At the second time cafe was crowded & busy but we got our food really fast)& then at the third time food took 40 min ish (crepe) & coffee even longer but they didn't ask if it's hot or cold & made iced coffee instead of hot ones(( Remade then. Crepes & lemonades were delicious but glass wasn't clean... Cute sounds of birds in the washroom tho✨🦜View more

Place is cute, the food & drinks are good, however the staff is rude & wait times are ridiculous. We were asked to wait 30mins before ordering our food because the kitchen staff were too busy -- there were only a handful of people & only three waiting for food. You can still take an order, that's ridiculous. People who ordered food over a half hour after us, got their food before us. We waited over an hour for our food, after waiting the initial 30mins. There were no glasses by the lemon water for 30mins, & as soon as there were it was only four at a time with an interval of over 30mins for four more. My partner got her food over 30mins before me. She was done before I got my food. When I went up to ask what the issue was, I waited 3mins for someone to even notice me. When I began to raise my concerns, I was told sorry by a kid & then she just walked away while I was still speaking! It does not take over 30mins to make three pancakes with some fruit. Staff seems rude, disorganized & extremely slow everytime we come here. Not sure what is going on, but foot traffic could greatly improve if staff could figure things out. Not sure if it's worth coming back when it's like this every single time.View more
