It's obvious the place changed ownership. Even though the menu stayed the same, the quality has dropped significantly. It took them an hour to bring me my sandwich, & the place was empty. On top of that, my chicken sandwich had more tomato & lettuce than actual chicken.
That said, the place is still cozy & a nice spot to grab a coffee & chat with a friend.Voir plus

Plusieurs irrégularités entre ce qui s'affiche sur le site web du resto & l'expérience vécue sur place.
La facture porte le nom de Restaurant Gourmand & non 5Senses.
Entre les prix affichés sur le site web & en salle; il nous a été chargé pour certains plats une différence d'au moins 5$ du plus que sur le site web.
On nous offre une soupe aux champignons...12$ !!!
Des choix de sandwichs style paninis, s'avèrent être servis comme simple baguette & garniture non cuite au panini comme les photos de leurs présentoirs.
Notre mécontentement auprès de la gérante du resto ne donne absolument rien, nous disant que c'est la faute du fournisseur de pain & nous invitant à stopper la commande.
Au final, 6 personnes à faire une mauvaise publicité.
À comparer,, l''offre est plus alléchante, variée & copieuse pour le prix payé à la foire alimentaire du Complexe Desjardins.

Ça reste pour moi un attrape-touristes, mais qui vaut quand même le détour, rien que pour la déco & les portions généreuses.
Les prix sont élevés, & on sent que ce n'est pas du fait maison, ce qui est un peu dommage. Cela dit, j'ai apprécié le service & l'accueil, qui étaient vraiment agréablesVoir plus

5Senses, I love you. I'm sorry for never having left a review while you were still open before being bought by this terrible new owner, who decisively chose to remove all the magic, love & fun that made this place so beloved.
This restaurant had been my favourite spot in downtown Montreal for years. The food was excellent, the deco was amazing, the vibe was great, the people were awesome. Literally no complaints, just perfection, especially near a student hotspot, which is great when we need a solid, tasty meal with friends in a charming environment after exams.
I was gone for a little over a month. They closed down in the meantime. I was craving it so much, to the point I came back three times (only to find it closed each time), & the fourth time was the charm! I was so happy to see it finally open again, but I walked in to DISASTER.
Seriously, is this a joke?? What have the new owners done to this place??
They replaced all the fun & varied seats with boring red catering-style chairs & red booths. They removed the awesome counter display. They put ugly black high chairs by the bar. They removed so much of the original deco, & I believe they're planning to get rid of the entire og design & menu eventually. The waiters are dressed all black?? What is this, a funeral? Might as well be with the way they downgraded the place so much. Now, I ordered the same thing I always order. The portion was - & I am not mincing my words here - THREE TIMES SMALLER than what it usually was, for the SAME price!!! It was the baked salmon, & to make the plate look full, they had the audacity to put the salmon down in the middle & surround it with a few leaves of salad on each side (the salmon is usually served *resting* on a hearty salad). How cheap can you get? That's highway robbery! I couldn't believe how fast I finished my food - literally, 10 minutes. Total of like, 5 bites. I am a slow eater, & eating at 5Senses usually takes me at least 30mins. I was so disappointed. The food tasted the same, except for the fries which were so obviously cheap frozen fries, so at least it was yummy. But man… I was crushed. & to think it's only going to get worse from here… I knew that this would be my last time eating at this location.
As a regular, I hope the original owners & staff of 5Senses will re-open at a new location & bring back the amazing cozy vibes & delicious food the original had. You guys were the best, we truly lost a gem. 😭 PS - Do not bother going to whatever mess the new restaurant is. You'll pay 40$ for 5 bites & a lukewarm funeral experience.Voir plus

The service took forever & we were alone in the shop with them.

Very good restauration, very good service & the workers are very communicative, the music is perfect, not too loud & not too low. The menu is very fancy with too much choice. Tbh i would recommend this very much.Voir plus

Pas d'ambiance un 1er juillet à 15h, on dirait que c'était fermé. Les employés ont tous l'air plus perdus les uns que les autres, ont pas l'air de savoir ce qu'ils ont au menu & ils ne sont pas en mesure de faire plusieurs articles au menu. En plus, on commande une crêpe nutella banane & on reçoit nutella fraise. 15$ pour une petite crêpe comme ça c'est assez insultant.Voir plus

Purtroppo dopo aver scelto uno dei piatti del giorno, dopo 5 minuti mi hanno detto che era terminato. Ne ho scelto un altro : dopo 10 minuti mi hanno detto che era terminato anche questo piatto. I was there yesterday with a group of 57, we pre-ordered. I immediately loved the atmosphere of the place, very cool!! I was 1 of 2 who ordered the Avocado salad, it was truly incredible. Each bite was amazing, still can't get over it, wow!!! This place is truly a destination eatery, cant wait to try other items. I'll probably get the salad again but get a second thing to go.Voir plus

I would come here for lunch. The food is great, & the atmosphere has a great ambiance. Back in the day some time ago their ordering system was defective which sometimes resulted in long wait times, but I believe it has been fixed.

J'ai essayé leur matcha à la fraise & c'était bien mieux que le dernier que j'ai eu, mais pas à mon goût je dirais. Leurs brownies sont une tuerie & je leur donne un 5/5. J'ai aussi pris un chocolat chaud, mais c'était du chocolat chaud typiquement industriel je dirais : léger, sans la richesse du chocolat, mais le goût y était. J'adore l'ambiance & les 2 filles qui m'ont servi sont des amours. La décoration est absolument splendide.Voir plus

Le millefeuille était vraiment pas fou ; tiède, mal présenté, mauvais goût...
Le tiramisu en revanche était plutôt bon! Pareil pour les cafés & boisson.
Le service laisse à désirer: seulement une personne qui faisait TOUT: caisse, nourriture, boissons, service, etc. Ce qui l'a ducoup rendue vraiment stressé & désagréable avec des remarques du style'je vous ai appelé plein de fois déjà' ou'lever vous pour venir chercher les boissons.'Voir plus

I've worked at a Italian restaurant before & also I often make a spaghetti by myself. the meat spaghetti here is the worst I've ever had. It took time to serve just one order & the texture of the pasta is too soft like it is boiled for double time as long as it was supposed to, it's like thing is re-warmed up after staying in fridge. The attitude of the waiter here is not bad. but the quality of the dish I've had made me think they made fun of me. I don't understand that here has a good reviews.Voir plus
