49th Parallel Micro-Torréfacteur Cafe opens its doors in Montreal at its first ever location outside of British Columbia in the summer of 2021. Finding and creating this space was a long, occasionally challenging but always interesting process that took over a year to complete!
The space itself, its location in the heart of Old Montreal and the building’s history were an obvious draw. This was a labour of love from all the people involved in the project, from the contractor to the designer – everyone came together to preserve the charm of the old building with its exposed 100 year old bricks and stone masonry while bringing it to life with a sleek retro design.
Our fourth Café features the 49th coffee everyone knows and loves, Lucky’s donut menu revamped with reimagined Quebec classics and a full kitchen featuring breakfast egg burgers and seasonal brunch offerings (coming soon).

Best coffee in town + breakfast sandwiches are bomb.View more
View more
The PB & J donut is to die for, anytime I pass nearby I have to make a stop & get it! It's that good!!!View more
4 stars because the donuts are crazy expensive. Would have been 5 stars otherwise. Coffee is great 👌🏻 IMO, it's a missed opportunity that they didn't translate their name to "Café 49e Parallèle" in Québec.View more
Wonderful service by a very nice Spanish speaking employee. Delicious almond gluten free donutsView more
Excellent coffee but on the expensive side, almost 8$ for a cortado, which is much more than other coffees places around. They have also fresh pastries from the bakery in the back. They have a lot of places to work or study with plugs everywhere, they also have a great terrace! Overall its a great place!!View more
There are some very nice people working here. The Misto with oatmilk is my go to. I highly recommend this spot.View more
Caveat for those who are interested in avo toast. 1) what I googled & got 2) what I really got. Everyone there is nice & friendly. My go-to for tough days at work.View more
The donuts were awesome. The sandwich was amazing. I find it very hard to find a decent apple fritter as most places either make it wrong, burn it, or don't cook it enough so it ends up being raw in the middle. This place nailed it & not only that but throw some bacon on top & it's the perfect sweet & savory combination. I only wish I had more time to visit there. They did a bang up job on the coffee as well. Very friendly staff. I cannot recommend this place enough.View more
