Review Summary

Patapoufs receives praise for high quality breads, pastries, croissants, and a wide range of ready meals, with many noting fresh, well made products and a strong French bakery vibe; still, reviews mention frequent shortages of popular items like flan, occasional order mistakes, a sometimes loud atmosphere, and service that can feel rushed or unfriendly, along with a few complaints about leaky takeout cups. The bakery is described as welcoming and busy, a neighborhood anchor where the staff and the care put into desserts and made in house items shine, though consistency in service and product availability can vary by day. Pastry lovers especially enjoy the clafoutis, croissants, danishes, and brioche, and many return for coffee or to browse the extensive selection of bread and pastries, while some note price levels and occasional shifts in value.

Great pastries, but we were charged for an extra item we didn't order & got no apology when we pointed it out.

Pastries are some of the best in town. Have been coming here for months. Would have given it 5 stars but their banana bread had freezer burn …. It was disgusting.

I've been there fairly regularly & I yhink their products can be a bit hit or miss. I find their pastries very good but their cakes & others it varies a lot between'it's nice' &'I regret taking this one & won't order it again'. (Especially as they augmented their prices by a few dollars over the years.) If you want a cake I recommend the cheesecake, it doesn't disappoint.

The room itself is cosy & the service is ok, (I wish workers would stop looking at me & following me behind the counter while I'm choosing my stuff because it puts pressure on me, I'll go at the counter when I'm done!) Also they don't come off as welcoming with no smiles or hellos. Otherwise I think it's a nice spot to chat & relax.

The 3 Patapoufs is the place to go if you want to have the best croissant (but not only) in Montreal (& I tried many places)!

Mostly going there every day to get my first coffee (& croissant) of the day.

To summarize; coffee, pastries, sandwiches & food in general are really good. A nice addition is that the team is great as well 👍

- coffee: nothing special
- sandwiches are really good
- pastries are top notch

It's also a good place to sit down with your laptop & get some work done

Great cafe! The service was excellent & the pastries were on another level! I'd highly recommend to come support & stop by! It was only a minute walk from our airbnb!

Can't refrain from going in if I'm walking by. Delicious meals to go, tasty pastries/desserts & awesome bread! Not even talking about the few imported french products that will finish to convince you to come back.

After having made 3 visits here & sampled a variety of their offerings I can say that Les 3 Patapoufs is one of my favourite bakeries in Montreal. Their viennoiseries are to die for. I love the croissants, which are flaky, buttery delights. They don't make many every day so if you don't get there early enough they might be sold out of them. I can see where they would rather sell out of something than have left overs at the end of the day which need to be tossed in the garbage. Now the real star of the show here are their pastries. Too many places just load everything with sugar to give something taste but not Les 3 Patapoufs! They use quality ingredients & focus on giving their pastries depth & variety of flavour. These are the kinds of desserts I love. Prices are also surprisingly reasonable when you consider how much food costs have risen & how food service establishments have been forced to raise their prices to compensate for that. I very much feel like I am getting value for my money here. In all an excellent bakery worth the visit!
