Nuit Gourmande - 2nd Edition

La Nuit Gourmande is back for a second edition this year, on Saturday, February 22nd from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Presented by the Casino de Montreal and Air France, this culinary event in association with Montreal En Lumière aims to make you discover "Montreal's rich gastronomy in a festive and welcoming atmosphere".

For one night only, more than 50 restaurant owners are inviting you all around the city to experiment with an exclusive dining experience, outside of their normal business hours.

Several members of RestoMontréal are going to be part of it. Here is a sneak peek!

Mont-Royal Avenue:

Barraca Rhumerie 

Barraca is a nice neighborhood bar that specializes in rum cocktails and tapas, inspired by cuisine from all around the world, where you will spend a most enjoyable evening.

Bistro Abbioco

This small charming Italian bistro transports you to a colorful and friendly atmosphere, where you will have the pleasure to enjoy, some fresh pasta dishes, risotto, braised beef, and other Italian-inspired dishes. Accompany your meal with a glass of wine from their private import selection. 


Le Virunga

The Virunga is the result of the African gastronomy meeting Quebec traditions. Their simple and creative cuisine offers revisited recipes with typical flavors of sub-Saharan Africa. It is a friendly restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere where you will enjoy a unique dining experience.

Pizzédélic Mont-Royal

Since 1994, Pizzédélic restaurants have welcomed you in a vibrant atmosphere and a bursting decor to make you appreciate pizza of all kinds. Choose amongst a traditional dough, one made with whole wheat or gluten-free, in addition to having a wide choice of sauces and garnish.

Downtown :

Shô Dan

Shô Dan is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a wide choice of very creative and elaborate sushi. The young chefs and owners rely a lot on the look of their dishes. Sit at the bar to have the privilege to see them at work, making the most delicious sushi. 

Little Italy :


Ratafia is the result of some people's love for desserts and good wine. This wine and dessert bar offers natural wines, fortified wines and creative and gourmet homemade desserts that will leave you speechless by their beauty and their flavors. In addition to eating and drinking, you will have a good time especially due to the great music and the festive atmosphere happening there.

Verdun : 

Audacieuse Vanille

This pastry shop offers all your favorite guilty pleasures, but gluten-free, soy-free AND vegan! Also, everything is organic, and each ingredient they use comes, as much as possible, from Quebec. This place definitely has it all.


El Sabor de Mexico

This Mexican restaurant is well known to the locals for its authentic and refined Mexican cuisine. Tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, while sipping a REAL good margarita, is what awaits you at El Sabor de Mexico. Forget your everyday life for an evening and let their attentive staff take care of you.

Honi Honi

Visit Honi Honi to try their tasty and healthy Hawaiian-inspired cuisine. On the menu, poke bowls, salads, sushi, and other healthy dishes. Quench your thirst with their "bubble teas" or the different smoothies offered.

Latin Quarter :

Menthe et Couscous

Come to Menthe et Couscous for a culinary journey in the heart of the Middle East. Their Moroccan and Tunisian cuisine will make you discover new flavors as well as heady fragrances. Choose from their specialties - lamb couscous, chicken or merguez sausages, not to mention all the grilled meats and the Tunisian salads rich in colors and flavors.

Saint-Denis Street (between Roy et Gilford) :

Resto Végo 

Végo is both a take-out and a restaurant offering a wide choice of cold and hot buffet-style dishes. Have one of their sandwiches, salads, or pizzas for a quick meal on the go or take the time to create your own plate at the buffet on the 2nd floor.

La Piazzetta 

Established since 1989, La Piazzetta aims to be a restaurant with a refined, but unpretentious little pizzeria style. Their specialty; square and thin pizzas crusts. Vegetarian and vegan options are available to please everyone. In addition to the pizzas, you'll also find on the menu hearty salads, pasta dishes, as well as the famous Piazzetta rolls, rolled pizza bites, the dream!

Village :

Dom Carlos

If you are looking for a place that will be different from your usual outings, well the Dom Carlos will make you experience something new, first because of its decor straight out of a flea market or a museum, and then because of its authentic Portuguese food. Feast on fish, grilled octopus, seafood platter and grilled meats while enjoying some shows taking place on-site.


Visit the Palme restaurant if you want to be travel to the Caribbean for a meal. Inspired by the scents and flavors of the Jamaican and Haitian cuisine, the fish, seafood and jerk-style dishes served at the Palme restaurant will please their most gourmet clients.


Grenade is an Asian-inspired neighborhood bar, serving comfort food and mouthwatering cocktails. This oriental-style pub offers a stunning menu on which there is duck poutine, salmon tartare or pork belly ramen, and other delicious options.
