The collective Super Boat People presents BBQ Without Borders, its first street food festival celebrating cuisine, solidarity, and migrant justice. The event will take place on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, from 11am to 7pm, at Parc Dickie-Moore in Parc-Extension, accessible via Acadie metro station.
The festival features a buffet of the continents with eight street food kiosks run by invited chefs and restaurateurs. Attendees can enjoy over ten musical and dance performances, local artisan booths, and a community fair featuring top organizations from Parc-Extension and beyond.
A family and wellness area will allow both children and adults to relax, play, and fully enjoy the day. To ensure accessibility, the programming is almost entirely free, including food.
Conferences and workshops will also be offered to encourage discussion about the rights and place of immigrants, a critical issue in the current political context in Quebec and beyond.
The event is organized in partnership with Brique x Brique, TCRI, OPLJM, and several other local organizations.
