Phillips Bar, a new venue offering a refined Japanese dining experience, is opening its doors on March 27th in downtown Montreal. This bar features a casual chic atmosphere and a menu highlighting makis and hand rolls, prepared right in front of guests.
Renowned chefs Antonio Park, Olivier Vigneault, and S'Arto Chartier-Otis have combined their expertise to create a menu inspired by the traditions of Japanese dining. Highlights include melt-in-your-mouth baby back ribs, marinated and grilled chicken thighs, tartares, chicken and salmon skin chips & dips, as well as a wide selection of makis and hand rolls. Hot dishes are served in Teishoku style, a delicate assortment designed to be enjoyed with Japanese rice, offering a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
In terms of drinks, Phillips Bar offers a curated selection of sake, cocktails, and private import wines, ideal for complementing each dish.
The bar's mid-century inspired decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, with terracotta tones and a large decorative library that separates the mezzanine, which can accommodate 20 guests. The main floor offers 80 seats and a 22-seat bar. The lower level is dedicated to private lounges designed for groups and private events, seating 10 to 24 guests or up to 50 people for a cocktail reception.
