Review Summary

Maison Baultberri Café Bistro is widely celebrated for its warm, stylish atmosphere and inviting decor, often described as a vibrant neighborhood hub that perfectly blends a cafe, bistro, and shopping experience. Many visitors praise the high-quality coffee and a selection of delicious pastries, with several standout items like the almond croissants and breakfast sandwiches earning frequent mentions. While the staff is consistently highlighted as being friendly, welcoming, and attentive, some guests have noted inconsistencies regarding food preparation, portion sizes, or the speed of service during peak hours. Although the space is appreciated for its aesthetic appeal and suitability for working or socializing, a few reviewers expressed concerns about noise levels, temperature, and varying consistency in menu execution. Despite these mixed remarks on the dining experience, the general consensus portrays the location as a unique and popular destination that leaves a strong positive impression on the majority of its patrons.View restaurant profile

A new café by Laurent Dagenais is opening in the Quartier Latin. Maison BaultBerri is located inside the new Empire boutique at 1275 Berri Street.

The project stems from the collaboration between Empire owner Phil Grisé and his longtime friend, culinary creator Laurent Dagenais. Together, they envisioned a cozy bistro-style café with about forty seats, designed as a welcoming and comfortable space.

Maison BaultBerri takes its name as a tribute to the legendary Archambault store that once stood at this address.

The menu features a selection of hot and cold beverages including coffee, matcha and smoothies, along with sandwiches, salads, soups and pastries, all made daily with fresh ingredients sourced from top local suppliers. With a relaxed atmosphere and décor by Daniel Finkelstein of Design Finkel, the café offers the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a meal, work or meet up with friends.
