Thrill seekers, take note: a new extreme attraction is launching in Montreal. Starting April 24th, visitors will be able to experience Montréal Bungee, the highest urban bungee jump in Canada, located in the Old Port.
Brought to life by the creators of Tyrolienne MTL Zipline, this 210-foot jump takes place from the top of the heritage Convoyeurs Tower, built in 1957. The tower has been restored while preserving its original structure and offers breathtaking 360-degree views of downtown Montreal and the South Shore.
Montréal Bungee becomes the third bungee site in the country after Whistler (BC) and Wakefield (QC), and now holds the title of the highest in Canada.
Samuel Cadotte, the entrepreneur behind the project, was driven by a desire to offer something even more thrilling than his zipline, which has been a hit with visitors aged 2 to 93 since 2015. "With the nearest bungee jump more than 3 hours away from the city, we saw an opportunity to offer something bold and exciting right in the heart of Montreal," says Cadotte.
This ambitious project was made possible with the support of Tourisme Montréal, the Ministry of Tourism, the Montreal Port Authority, and the Old Port of Montreal Corporation.
Up to 150 people will be able to jump each day, and a state-of-the-art lighting system will allow for nighttime jumps with a stunning illuminated view of Old Montreal. The experience includes a stair climb to the top, a leap over the St. Lawrence River, and a return to the dock by electric zodiac, followed by access to a relaxation zone. A high-quality photo and video service will also be available to capture the moment.
