Toute une découverte ! Vous êtes amateurs de sushis, c'est la place ! Tellement mais tellement bon, ça aucun bon sens ! Nous demeurons à 1 heure de ce restaurant mais nous y retournerons avec des amis très bientôt. & merci aussi à la très gentille serveuse qui travaillait dimanche soir le 9 février. WoW wow wow. This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Montreal. I recently visited with a friend, & we were both impressed by the exceptional service & the high quality of the food. Though it's a smaller, more intimate restaurant, their menu features a curated selection of nigiri & maki, & every bite was fantastic. Incredible sushi, wonderful service & a great atmosphere. The fish was the best I've had-very fresh & flavorful with soft texture. We mostly had nigiri & it was the best tuna & hamachi I've had. They told us they have been there 20 years & treat their ingredients right. We ended up going 2 nights in a row it was so excellent. & the service was great. Be sure to stop at the wine shop around the corner, they have a great selection of local wine tooView more

I think it's the best sushi in Montreal. We had the spring rolls & the tuna tartare to begin with & we had sushi as the main corses. We loved everything we had & everything is fresh. Do you know Yuukai in japense means Kidnap? It in deed kidnapped my stomachache while we are there & my mind now while I m writing the review. We have ordered all the popular stuff! The most amazed dish is:Mont fuji! Cipse at the bottom, soft at the top which provides the combination for the different texture. All the sushi roles we orders are good, sunshine, special K & Thon deluxe. When we dined in they also have Uni. Hmm yumyum! So fresh However I find the sushi pizza is a bit dry. Service is good & atmosphere is good Best part is: BYOB & price is not toooooo expensive! Very affordable. This is one of the best sushi restaurant I've been too. I've been here many times & I always let chef Karl decide my dinner. What's amazing is Karl attentiveness to details & his creative dishes. The specialty dishes are really really good. My friends & family always come out very satisfied. Price is very reasonable for the quality. Did I mention its a BYOB? Service was very slow. It was more than half an hour to get our starter & another half hour between our starter & the main food. The food presentation was good but everything was tasteless. Ordinary sushi & overpriced for what it is.

MY KIND OF PLACE
An absolute favourite AVV/BYOW in Montreal. Unpretentious atmosphere, extremely devoted & patient staff, respectful & funny. & the food... the sushi is out of this world & the tempura's done right - all that for very affordable prices. I was scared it would be closed on a rainy unbusy Tuesday night but there were plenty of people, including regulars. I am definitely back soon!
