Best soup dumplings in Montreal. Chicken/Curry is a must & so is the pork/cabbage. They're really all good but those are our favorites. They also have a good staple of Chinese dishes that are worth trying.

What an absolute gem of a dumpling spot!
We ordered pork & shrimp xiao long baos, cucumbers, classic milk tea with bubbles & a honey lemon tea. Their dumpling soup is uniquely more flavourful than any I've had in the usual traditional dumpling places like Ding Tai Fung. Drinks were perfectly not too sweet. Cucumbers are pretty spicy with creeping heat so if you are a'medium' sorta person, I'd ask them for a little less spice.
This is an earnestly run family business & is not the usual Chinese establishment clean. It is shockingly spotless & clean which shows a real pride of place. We are not from Montreal but come annually for a little food & fun & have a hit list of places that we visit every visit, this spot is now on that list. See you next year!
Kind staff & wonderful service. I wish we caught our servers name because he was delightful. Everything we ordered was delicious! The Singapore noodles & pork & chive soup dumplings were especially good. If I lived in Montreal this would be a regular spot
We came across this soup dumpling restaurant & we were surprised how good it was. The restaurant has a nice seating layout for around 4 people max on a table. We tried the soup dumpling with shrimp, pork, chives & the noodles with beef. They were both super delicious & tasty! The soup dumpling skin was not too thick but enough to hold the soup & not break. The seasoning was perfect on the soup dumplings, no additional soy sauce or vinegar was needed. Highly recommend & would come back.
My daughter & I went there last night after exploring Montreal on foot. Both of us love soup dumplings & we decided to go to Yum Yum after reading some of the positive reviews. It's a quaint family restaurant with just a few tables & a light, pleasant atmosphere. As we found out during out stay, the wife manages the open kitchen with support staff, forming fresh dumplings non stop, while the husband manages the guests in a very friendly manner & a level of efficiency & attentiveness I have seldom encountered in other restaurants in general. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was full & we decided to wait for what was to be around 30 minutes. During that time several more people arrived who were told that it would be about 1hr. Over the couple of hours we stayed there, we noticed all of them returning at some point. The menu is extensive, with the entire left page dedicated to soup dumplings. Wow. We ended up trying four different varieties - pork/shrimp/chives, pork/shrimp/mushrooms, chicken/coriander & pork/cabbage. In subtly different ways they were all absolutely delicious. The broth was mild but tasty & their homemade chili crunch oil is an excellent condiment to our taste. We observed other patrons being served a variety of other dishes that looked scrumptious but these comments apply solely to the soup dumplings. My daughter & I agreed that they were among the very best we've eaten anywhere & that our visit to Yum Yum was the first of many to follow.
Unreal! Cheap! Tasty! Everyone here is super friendly Pork & cabbage soup dumplings were my favourites. Chicken & coriander pan fried were also bang bang Seriously YUM :)

Such a delightful experience! The man who took our order was so kind & knowledgeable! I recommend ordering the jasmine tea!!! As well as the pork & chive soup dumplings! So good! Small place but so warm & inviting! Also try the bubble tea!! amazing!!
Excellent service & food. The pork & coriander dumplings were excellent. The owner was super kind & even showed me the proper way on how to eat the dumplings.
Excellent soup dumplings, with very reasonable price, quick service, we had 3 types of dumplings (pork & chives, curry chicken & shrimp) all really good
The dumpling soup was excellent. The staff was friendly & helpful. It's not too expensive for the amount you get. The sweet & sour soup was also pretty good. The fried shrimp, pork & mushrooms dumpling was probably my favorite of the two, they were very flavourful. The restaurant was also nicely decorated.
