Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill maintains a robust tradition of classic Irish tavern culture by focusing on substantial, hearth-inspired comfort food. The menu centers on expertly battered fish and chips, featuring flaky Atlantic whitefish encased in a crisp, golden crust served alongside thick-cut chips. Beyond this staple, the kitchen prepares a variety of savory grill selections including seasoned burgers, hearty shepherd's pie, and slow-cooked meat dishes that emphasize rich, earthy flavors. The interior atmosphere relies on dark woodwork and communal seating arrangements to foster a grounded, social environment characteristic of authentic Celtic public houses. Beverage options complement the food with an emphasis on imported dark stouts and a curated selection of malt-forward ales. Patrons encounter a straightforward culinary approach that prioritizes high-volume preparation methods and consistent flavor profiles across all standard menu offerings.

Have been to the Pub many times over several years . Food , service & atmosphere are always very good.
The pub has indoor & outdoor dining & has a small bar with several cold beers on tap .
Menu is varied & includes burgers , fish & chips , & intros .
Reservations are recommended but not always necessary .
The pub seems busier between 6-9pm
Parking is available however can be scarce on weekends .
I was a bit surprised on our latest visit after noticing the fish & chips portions have shrunk a little . My wife was disappointed the shrimp kabobs were removed from the menu & settled for a burger . She was not overwhelmed with the burger on our last visit.
I was there for lunch on a Sunday. I can see how the vibe would be better in the evening.
I had the guiness burger on the waiter's recommendation. It was ok... kinda dry. I don't think I'd order it again. Maybe it was an off day.
Waiter was very polite & friendly. This being said, it took AGES for our food to come out (I had the burger & my wife had a wrap of some kind). Given the fact that the place was mostly empty I would expect a burger & wrap to take less than 30 minutes. During our wait no one came to check on us or explain why it was taking so long.
Overall it was fine. I didn't leave thinking that it was bad, but I won't go out of my way to return. Cunningham's is significantly better.
Our second visit here.
We went here for lunch on a Saturday & the place was busy.
We started off with the nachos which were really good, everyone dug in the tasty nachos before I could take a picture.
Our table also ordered the fish & chips, salmon & braised beef. Everything was delicious & well cooked. For the salmon, I wish they would've put more of that delicious dill sauce on the plate, but the dish was great.
We had to ask twice to get some glasses of water, but other than that everything was great & we had good service from our waitress.
On a side note for anyone with allergies to fish: the burger patties & some other grilled things are cooked on the same grill as the fish. Our waitress was kind & thoughtful to explain this to us.
We will be back.
Atmosphere loved it. But the lights were dimmed way too low. The food was fantastic. I'm definitely going back to try other new things. 🙂 service was great. Waitress was polite, although I would appreciate it if the next time she told me about the beer sizes because I wanted an order of a 7 dollar beer & ended up paying 10 dollars when I specifically said I wanted the 7 dollar beer but it's okay in all the experience was nice & lovely. I also ordered the blue cheese & bacon burger. & my bf ordered the regular burger, which was very yummy.
Ye Olde Orchard...I received some gift cards & & was so looking forward to trying out a new restaurant outside of my home of Laval, after readying the great reviews online. The service was AMAZING! How pleasant it was to be spoken to in English, from the time we entered to the time we left. My son & I both had the Raspberry Lemonade - very refreshing & very tasty. We had the Cauliflower Buffalo - WOW! Were they SPICY! Very tasty, & the ranch sauce on the side much needed! If you like spicy, these will be right up your alley!! I ordered the Irish Stew & since it was Curry Fest, my son had Chicken Curry poutine. The stew was a nice big portion, however the beef was not tender at all - actually very chewy & some really fatty bites as well. The sauce didn't taste home made - the taste actually resembled a brown gravy mix & really didn't have much seasoning. My son's poutine - for some reason the entire poutine was covered with more half cooked onions than there were French fries or cheese. & the chicken pieces were small cubes of chicken that almost tasted like boiled chicken. It was not eye pleasing or tasty. What helped a bit was my son dipping his fries in the leftover gravy from my Irish Stew. The place looks amazing, it makes you feel like you're in an Irish pub. Very homey with fantastic service. However, sorry to say, I'm not sure we'll go back to use up the remainder of the gift cards I have. I had such high hopes. EDIT 11/28/24 - My son & I returned & gave it a second shot...& I must say, it was well worth the second chance. We shared the Jalepeno Poppers, they were really good! Just the right amount of kick without being the Buffalo Cauliflower level of spice. My son had Chicken tenders with fries which he really enjoyed. I don't often order a burger from a sit down restaurant but I am so very happy I did! The Orchard Burger, hold the mushrooms... to be exact. Oh my, that had to be one of the best burgers I have eaten. The caramelized onions are truly caramelized, not just fried. Simply delicious! & the home fries, crispy but somehow not greasy. Not to forget the drinks...my new fav is the Seas of the Day & the AMAZING service. You can surely expect me back!! Thank you!!!
