Worst take out ever. The restaurant was almost empty. 3 tables. I ordered take out & it took them 55 min to give it to me. I stood there all that time. It was not a big order either. A lunch for one
I made a reservation at Yakimoni Sushi Bar & when we arrived we were seated immediately. The renovated restaurant has a great ambiance & beautiful decor.
A minute or so after we sat down, a busboy came up & asked us if we wanted water. He gave us the choice between tap water & Mineral water or any other drink (they have a full bar). I misunderstood him & ended up ordering a $10 bottle of mineral water.
The waiter came to take out order. I was with my wife & we ordered Jalapeno poppers, two Miso soups, a poke bowl & something called Dan Dan noodles.
The food came out quickly & hot. It was timed well so when one course ended, the other was ready to go & the food was delicious, although I found the portions a bit small for the price point. We then ordered dessert, Lava cake with ice cream & an Apple crumble with ice cream.
This is where the very enjoyable evening started getting frustrating.
As we waited for dessert, the busboy came up to the table & asked us if we were waiting for dessert. We responded yes. He then walked away, but came back about a minute letter & literally started washing the table under our arms. No excuse me, no oh this table is dirty, let me clean that for you, just a wet rag scrubbing the table while we waited for dessert.
dessert came & once again, impeccable. Then just as I scooped up the last morsel of ice cream the waiter walked up with the bill, put it in front of me & then hovered over me with the credit card machine. I glanced at the bill & pulled out my credit card & tapped. The bill came out & he handed it to me & walked away.
I looked at the bill a little more carefully & started talking to my wife when suddenly the waiter reappeared. He apologized & asked us to leave the restaurant, out table was needed.
I glanced to the front of the restaurant, there was nobody waiting. I looked around & there were many people sitting & talking, in fact, the people at the table right next to us were there before we came in & had been chatting for an hour while we ate & we're still there when we were told to leave. Plus there were more than three empty tables in the restaurant.
After spending $200 on a couple of meals, I figured I would be able to sit a few moments after the meal, maybe even order a drink from the bar...Nope. We were told to leave.
What a great way to mar a wonderful experience, such a shame.
Quite a popular place, you definitely need a reservation. Very good food & service, diverse menu from sushi to Chinese chicken dishes. Music is French pop, a bit loud for my taste - I'd rather not have to raise my voice to be heard across the table.
Beautiful restaurant & food was very good. The only negative we experienced is that the waitress included the tip in the total instead of allowing us to select the tip. So you're being forced to tip a certain amount. We were a group of 4, not even a large group so we thought this was strange.
Went for dinner at Yakimono sushi bar with a reservation for 830, let me tell you. Atmosphere was outstanding, I was greeted by Vanina the hostess she was very delightful, kind & good vibes all together. My server Perez took my order I had a wine & some rolls. Food came quick with a touch of the busser Seth being very kind & attentive which to me is important when eating out. Overall I would 100% recommend a night out here if there is availability, you will feel special! Thank you 10/10
Beautifully newly renovated with excellent service! Very accommodating towards allergies as well. Bring a sweater as can get quite cold if near the vent systems
Absolutely phenomenal! We had them cater my daughter's engagement party, & everything was perfect. The sushi was incredibly fresh & delicious, & the presentation was absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. Highly recommend!
I had grilled salmon teriyaki. Very carefully prepared. My wife had a sushi combo with several different kinds of rolls. Great option to sample different things. Service was professional & attentive.
