Je m'attendais à une taverne typiquement allemande, mais c'est davantage un bar sportif. Quel dommage que la musique soit aussi criarde ! Nous serions restés boire bien plus longtemps si l'on pouvait s'entendre discuter...
Je suis de l'avis qu'un tel bar ne devrait pas embaucher de portiers ou de « bouncers », étant donné le faible achalandage & le climat de surveillance que cela génère. On n'est pas dans un club, on est sur la rue St-Hubert.
Au-delà de ce constat, le staff du bar est bienveillant & connaissant de ses produits, ce qui nous ramène en Bavière. Rien à dire sur ça :)
If you love German beer (& beer in general) & sports, this is the place to go! I've been there several times to watch sports games, & we've always had a great experience. I love the 1L beer jar, the place is very cool, & the staff is amazing! They even opened the bar earlier for my friends to watch a football (soccer) game. Highly recommended!
Matthieu served us at the bar & was absolutely great! Always with a smile, knowledgeable about the theme & menu items, & always up for some lively discussion as the night went on. We had some excellent German beers with a kraut dog that really hit the spot. The ambiance is great with long tables that are great for groups. The feeling in here really transports you to another world. We highly recommend it & we'll likely see you there next time. Prost!
First time at Wünderbar with my coworkers for our Christmas party, the ambiance is so welcoming, love the long tables, open setup, big beautiful bar with very comfortable seating & many great beers to choose from & enjoy. Mathieu the bartender was very attentive to our needs & helpful with choosing our beers. Having a warm salty pretzel with a cold beer is so awesome. Would absolutely recommend stopping by.
Bar soi-disant allemand, mais le concept n'est pas abouti. Immense espace avec du lino au sol, déco froide, ambiance inexistante. À l'arrivée, plusieurs tables libres mais personne pour nous placer; dix minutes d'attente malgré le regard des serveurs.
La bière est correcte, sans plus. Service passif-agressif, dont un serveur qui a demandé à notre amie pourquoi elle prenait un litre de bière,'un truc de mec' selon lui. Le staff discute derrière le bar & l'un d'eux grignotait des morceaux de saucisses en préparant les sandwichs.
Un lieu avec potentiel, mais un service négligé & un concept raté. Ok c'est encore en rodage mais un mauvais serveur restera un mauvais serveur.
Nous avons vite trouvé un autre bar « concept » bien plus ambiancé sur St Hubert
Triste, Le bar aurait pu être vraiment nice, mais il n'y avait aucune ambiance allemande. Ça ressemblait juste à n'importe quel autre bar. Le décor était là, ok, mais sans musique allemande…du (backstreets boys ), ça ne faisait pas la job. Avec un peu plus d'efforts sur l'atmosphère, ça aurait pu être un endroit génial. Aucunement Allemand juste quelques bières (Dommage). je me suis fait truqué à penser que c'était un bar différent & original. Ont a attendue un bon 5-10min avant que quelqu'un vienne nous voir pour nous dire que c'est complet & de revenir dans 30min quand il avait quelques places de libre.
Nice attempt at making a modernized version of a German beer hall, but don't go on a night when there's a sporting event - with the widescreen TVs (strike 1) it turns into a rowdy sports bar like all the other bars in town. It ruins the experience.
