Afficher toutrecommend(9) chicken(7) général tao(6) chinese(6) cafe(5) friendly staff(4) price(4) family(4) soup(3) mien(3)Quality in this place has decreased overtime. I've been a patron for years & can clearly have witnessed how portions are getting smaller & poorly served. The Tao chicken is nothing but a couple small pieces filled with rice & the Chow Mein comes with 2-3 tiny pieces of beef & the rest just noodles & veggies to fill in for it for the same price-I won't order again.
The food & service is ok & typically standard for chinese food in the west island. The quality can vary from week to week. But this is not fine dining...you get fairly large portions for the price...stay away from family meal options...order a la carte. Dont go on cold winter days as the temperature inside the eatery is uncomfortably low. Staff are dressed in heavy pullovers & puffy vests....
Wok Cafe is one of my go to Chinese restaurants in the West Island. The price is good & the portions are fair. I always end up taking the rest home with me. The staff is also friendly.
Spoiler alert we didn't keep the leftovers. The bad reviews are accurate. I have been wanting to try this place for a few years & we did tonight. Lots of choices , decent prices, but generally bland. I may give it a try again in a few years, lol. I really wanted this to be good, every so often I need a fix of American Chinese Food. Online ordering process was smooth & easy, order was ready when it was supposed to be & staff courteous. We ordered General Tao & shrimp fried rice & some pork egg rolls. Good portion size for the price, but food was ok at best, it really lacked flavour. The fried rice was not really fried more just darker rice (not brown, just a little soya tossed into steamed rice). The won ton soup was flavourless, egg rolls were like the kind you buy at your grocery store's freezer section. The vegetables with the general Tao meal were actually tasty & good.
Great food for affordable prices. This restaurant is great for large groups & has family style tables but i recommend making reservations to ensure your group gets seating. Whenever we come here there's always people in the restaurant no matter what time of day. I recommend all of the dishes in my photos since they are family style & easy to share.
Why go to Chinatown, when you can go right here :) Free parking lot, food is on point & the prices are reasonable (same as Chinatown). Fast service & friendly staff, thanks again!
