Review Summary

Viet Express generally receives high praise for its delicious and affordable menu, with many customers highlighting the quality of the banh mi, spring rolls, and bubble tea. The service is frequently described as fast, friendly, and welcoming, making it a popular neighborhood spot for takeout and quick meals. While most diners have positive experiences, some feedback indicates recent concerns regarding shrinkflation, changes in portion sizes, inconsistent sauce packaging, and occasional issues with food temperature or meat quality. Despite these isolated criticisms, the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive, with many patrons commending the restaurant for its great value and recommending it as a go-to location for quality Vietnamese cuisine.

Take out only yet they have a debit machine asking for tips.

For the last years I'd go get tje spring rolls each months or so.

Last month, noticed that my regular order of 4 spring rolls were packaged differently. Instead of having 2 rolls per box plus peanut sauce, they packed all 4 rolls +sauce in a slightly bigger box. Got home & I was shocked at the thinness of the spring rolls. I mean, this gives a new meaning to shrinkflation.

Before I could get 4 rolls, 2 for lunch & 2 for dinner & feel full, now I can chow down all 4 in one setting.

Today, 2 of the 4 peanut sauce container were closed improperly which led to a very, very messy surprise when I opened the plastic container containing the spring rolls.

Used to be good, nice portions & no complains that got me going there for several years but the last 2'shrinked' orders was the straw that broke the camels back.

& today, their shredded carrots are not even slightly marinated in the Vietnamese way they usually are.

@ the owner of this establishment... Rice vermicelli isn't that expensive, please fill up those rolls like before. Going to take a long break hoping in a year that your spring rolls will fill up instead of shrinking further.

Everything is getting outrageously expensive & you guys use pressed pork in the rolls, shrinking the rolls was not a good idea.

I ordered the Pork BBQ Banh Mi & was amazed by how delightfully tender the pork was.

This is one of those Sleeper restaurants that dont look like much from the outside but give you an incredible meal at great value for your money.

The banh mi are pretty cheap at 7.79$ each, & you can get a combo with a bubble tea for under 12$, which is not bad at all. I ordered the bbq pork, which was good overall, but contained many fatty pieces of meat. I've also had better bread elsewhere. It's still a good place to have lunch for cheap.
