Review Summary

Viet Express receives mixed feedback, with many patrons praising the affordable and delicious banh mi, spring rolls, and soups, while others express concerns regarding recent quality inconsistencies, smaller portion sizes, and freshness issues with specific ingredients like pickled vegetables. While numerous customers highlight the quick, friendly service and the value of the meals, some reviewers note occasional disappointments with specific dishes, packaging, and the quality of ingredients such as meat. Overall, the establishment is frequently recommended as a go-to spot for budget-friendly takeout in the neighborhood, though experiences regarding consistency and portion sizes appear to vary significantly among regular patrons.

Small takeout spot, amazing bain mi & Tonkinese soup. Never dissapointed. Good price too, most range in 16$/17$ for soup

An excellent lunch today at the Viet Express - the food was fresh & delicious. A family run restaurant with that the special touch, friendly (CoCo, greeter/server) & reasonable prices. We had chicken won ton soup (106), shrimp stir fried vermicelli (404) & crispy fried egg noodle (505). Definitely plan to go back.

Generous portions at a reasonable price but the food tastes just okay. Not super fresh or high quality ingredients, but that's alright at this price point.

The way this place was 3 years ago I would have given it 5 stars but ever since they changed the price of one sandwitch to the price of two (used to be a little under $5 per sandwitch & is now over $10) while adding less filling to the sandwtich I can no longer reccomend this place. I know that times with money are hard but that does not justify making you pay the price of two for one while making the sandwitches with less. Most places added $2-3 which the they did here before the issue with the recession while other places kept their prices at the time & now it's close to $12 for a $5 sandwitch. They also never updated the prices on the pamphlets or online so you only find out when its time to pay. I used to eat there a lot but do not plan to anymore
