Very warm & welcoming atmosphere, & the Tres Leches was absolutely delicious!
I was a little disappointed by the saffron latte, though. I found it quite sweet, & the taste seemed different from the last time I had it about two months ago. As a Persian café, the saffron latte is definitely something I was hoping would really stand out.
That being said, the service was excellent. The lady at the counter was incredibly sweet, attentive, & welcoming.
Overall, we had a lovely experience & will definitely come back! 😊
The food was absolutely delicious & the staff very kind! Highly recommend this place!
The baby pancakes were really savourful! Most shakshuka's I've had tasted really similar but this one was very different in a good way!
The dulce de leche was light, soft & the right amount of sweetness. Perfect for a light dessert after food!
Absolutely terrible experience. 40+ minutes waiting while people who arrived after me were served first. I ordered my eggs fully cooked, but they arrived raw, & the waitress rudely dismissed my complaint.
I also experienced what felt like racism & discrimination simply because I don't speak French. Extremely rude staff & unacceptable service. One of the worst restaurants in Montreal - absolutely not recommended.
I don't usually rate or talk about restaurants, but I decided to share my experience at this place.
We ordered food for 7 people, but they brought food for only 2 of us & completely forgot about the other 5 orders. When we asked about the rest, we were told that those orders simply take longer to prepare than what the first two people received.
What made the experience even worse was the way the situation was handled. The two girls at the front showed very little experience in dealing with an upset customer or handling a simple service issue professionally.
One of the most ridiculous responses we received was that they are'just a coffee shop' & that it is normal for orders to take a long time to be served.
I understand that restaurants & cafés can get busy, & I'm not expecting everything to be perfect. However, basic communication, organization, & customer service should still be expected-especially when serving a group of 7 people.
One of the best brunches I've had! The Dutch Baby Shakshuka at Veloura Café was incredible. 😍🍳
Really worth supporting. Great persian food with lovely staff & the pistachio latte is a MUST TRY
