Very warm & welcoming atmosphere, & the Tres Leches was absolutely delicious!
I was a little disappointed by the saffron latte, though. I found it quite sweet, & the taste seemed different from the last time I had it about two months ago. As a Persian café, the saffron latte is definitely something I was hoping would really stand out.
That being said, the service was excellent. The lady at the counter was incredibly sweet, attentive, & welcoming.
Overall, we had a lovely experience & will definitely come back! 😊
One of the best brunches I've had! The Dutch Baby Shakshuka at Veloura Café was incredible. 😍🍳
Really worth supporting. Great persian food with lovely staff & the pistachio latte is a MUST TRY
At first sight, this place seems to have so much potential & has a cozy environment. However, I didn't like the attitude of the staff or the overall management. It took forever for us to place our order, find a clean table, & receive our two smoothies.
When we wanted to order, almost everything we asked for was unavailable. On top of that, the staff member taking our order didn't seem to have much knowledge about the menu, which made the experience even more frustrating. The staff were not friendly at all, & while we were looking for a place to sit, we noticed that five or six tables were empty but still dirty, which was disappointing.
I would say I liked the taste of the smoothie, but it definitely was not worth $10.
I think some places have very unreasonable prices compared to the service they provide, & this place is definitely one of them.
One of the most charming cafés I've visited. Beautifully designed, incredibly delicious food, & the kindest service I've experienced in a long time.
Even though they were packed, the team stayed calm, attentive, & made every guest feel welcome. It's clear this women-owned business is built with passion & love. Highly recommend! ❤?
Absolutely loved this little café! ☕🤍 Everything was so fresh & delicious, the coffee was amazing, & the staff were incredibly sweet. Such a cozy place that instantly makes you feel at home. Can't wait to come back!
🌻💛✨
The Safran latté was nice but the Shakshouka dish lacked flavour & the eggs were overcooked. I asked for their beef sandwich to replace it & this was a lovely choice. The service was slow & not friendly at all from the get go. I did not try their desserts but will most likely not return.
Light lunch at Cafe Velora for two adults: black Iranian tea, Persian breakfast & carrot/tomato/onion soup with grilled cheese. Some other reviews note the service is not good & this was unfortunately true. Having only 1 server during lunch hour is not fair to staff, nor to customers. Server forgot to make our tea (she did apologize), food items arrived separately, & the server also forgot about one of our food items.
The Persian breakfast was missing the walnuts & fresh basil...this mistake was not corrected. However carrot/tomato/onion soup was delicious & hot, the grilled cheese very tasty. The layout of the cafe is spacious & the atmosphere was nice. Overall though the (missing) food & visit were disappointing.
