The food was amazing, & we're a family of omnivores.
We tried the kofta, lamb pita, Greek burger, a mess burger, spanakopita with tzatziki, & a some smoked meat sandwiches (or several visits).
We couldn't believe there was no meat in these.
You have to try this place.
The best vegan Mediterranean restaurant I've been to this side of the planet. The Pikilia is a no-brainer for a starter, & the soy gyro was excellently seasoned & prepared. The tzatziki is tofu based & excellent no matter what you're pairing it with. Veganarie is an easy recommendation, even if you have to drive across Montreal.

We were a group of 4 & had such an amazing experience at Veganarie! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm & inviting. The service was friendly & attentive, & every dish we tried was packed with flavour & creativity. The Greek-inspired comfort food is next level - we couldn't believe everything was 100% plant-based. Highlights for us were the tzatziki, gyros, poutine, & the decadent brownie. Can't wait to come back & try more of the menu. Highly recommended!
Amazing luck to have found this place en route from Kingston to the airport. An unassuming hole in the wall, tucked in a residential neighbourhood, this is not what you think of when you think vegan food. Although you can find some lighter /healthy options, this is super delicious comfort food that knocks your socks off. Not the granola & sprouts kinda place. Between us, we were one vegan, one vegetarian & one meat-eater; we all left extraordinarily happy, with our bellies perhaps a little too full! &, the meat-eater was still raving 24 hours later!
Owner Arie with son Josh cooking, it felt they were feeding you; like you were thier personal guest.
The sandwiches, (beef & pepperoni sub, falafel pita & soy kofta), were each out-of-world, all so filled the max with flavour & sauce, they met my 'it's not good unless it drips down to your elbow' benchmark. The tzatziki was rich & creamy, & YaYa's backavav with apple'hunny'…. I wish she was there so I could hug her!

Very warm & welcoming owner, he had lots of insight to the vegan products available in Canada. The tzatziki was exceptional, so creamy & nut-free. We had the pikillia for two, shiitake lamb gyro & fish & chips. Everything was fresh & tasty, we'll definitely be back.
Seriously I'm part time vegan. This restaurant is the BEST vegan place I've eaten at. The owner is super passionate of what he serves. The food was delicious!!

I was blown away by the incredible vegan versions of comfort food .We started with the Kafta & Gyro the portions are huge bursting with flavor, & that tzatziki OG Arahova garlic!! Everything welled seasoned & the Greek salad & Greek potato's, my mouth is watering just typing about it. The owner & his son are so welcoming & took his time to explain the menu ingredients & even how everything was prepared. Good to know we have place like this in the West Island. This place is definitely my go to place!!We'll definitely be going back!
We've eaten & ordered from there often...the vegan tzatziki blows my mind as well as all the meatless options...the soy gyro pita was out of this world in terms of flavor & texture...1000% recommend this place as a Greek vegan alternative

We took a detour to Veganarie on our way through the West Island & it was totally worth it. The best vegan Greek food we've tried in more than 25 years of eating plant-based. Favourites included the lamb skewer & Pikilia for 2 - amazing kopanisti, tzatziki & pita. We also tried a few items from the classic menu. Loved the Italian Sausage Sub & authentic-tasting poutine. Impressive! Will be back to try more.
Yummm 🤤 The food was absolutely incredible!!! We tried the cheeseburger, kofta, gyro , spanakopita , tzatziki & kopanisti... & each thing was more flavourful than the next... Who knew there was this level of vegan flavour in the West Island ? Anyone who hasn't tried this place yet is definitely missing out! Go try it, you won't be disappointed.
I was blown away by the incredible vegan versions of food I grew up eating! We started with the bang bang shrimp which were perfectly fried & seasoned with a delicious spicy sauce, the gyro was large & bursting with flavor, & ooh the tzatziki!! The cheese burger was hands down the best vegan burger I've ever had, so juicy & full of flavor & the Philly cheese steak another winner. Perfectly perfect all around. Ari the owner was so welcoming & took his time to explain the menu ingredients & even how everything was prepared. This place has definitely bumped other restaurant of my favorites list! We'll definitely be going back!
This is my second time back to this restaurant this month! Again the staff & the food have left me with the best impressions, which is why I decided I should write a review. My husband & I received fast, efficient & very hospitable service from Jacob, delicious & perfectly prepared dishes by Willow & everything was very reasonably priced for the high quality food. We split a "Philly" cheeze steak sub (definitely the star of the show today & a Vegan Feta Pita (with a VERY healthy portion of amazing vegan feta & a mouth watering house made Tzatziki) as well as the Italian Sausage Poutine, which was also scrumptious. We also took a couple of orders of Tzatziki & pitas for takeout & brought them to a party immediately after our lunch, where they were enjoyed by vegans & meat eaters alike.
I highly recommend VeganArie to everyone! I look forward to coming back here again & again!!!

Let me preface this by stating that my wife is a vegan, but I am not. That being said, if you hadn't told me, I never would have known from the taste that I was eating vegan food. The Shitake "lamb" skewer was AMAZING. Tender & juicy an overflowing with flavour, the spice blend was right on. I had the Gyro Pita & it was also outstanding. The pita itself was soft & fluffy & PACKED full of delicious gyro "meat" along with fresh veggies, & literally the best vegan Tzatziki (heck, maybe the best Tzatziki PERIOD) that I've ever had. My wife tried to Feta Cheese Pita, which I also sampled, & it was out of this world. Stuffed to the brim with tasty Vegan Feta cheese & Tzatziki. The house made Baklava for dessert, coated in a beautiful apple honey, was out of this world. The food was fresh, prepared in a very timely manner, & all of the staff were super friendly & the prices were very reasonable. We had a lovely conversation with the owner (Vegan ARIE) who is a terrific guy, & very passionate about what he is doing (of which the quality of the food leaves little doubt). We look forward to coming back again & again, & we cannot give RESTO VEGANARIE enough praise. Vegan or not, you owe it to yourself to check out this spot, you won't regret it.
