ALWAYS great service. Great eats. The Maia Prasad Quartet was playing (FANTASTIC!!) & the audience was vibrant, creating a fantastic atmosphere & energy. Thank you, Upstairs!!
There are two jazz bars left in Montreal. The same 4-5 musicians play the same sets, about 2 or 3 singers. This is indicative of a highly'elitist' culture of gatekeepers. I was photographed by patrons here on two occasions, they used flash. It was embarrassing. Have fun with your mediocre selection. & don't reply with some gaslighting. The vibes are way off.
Ce lieu est un véritable trésor pour la communauté du jazz! Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent, & les plats que nous avons dégustés étaient tout simplement délicieux. J'ai particulièrement apprécié les aubergines, tandis que mon copain s'est régalé de fruits de mer.
Loved this place - excellent music, attentive service, & a great atmosphere overall. No complaints at all, though the space may feel a little tight if you're claustrophobic.

The food was delicious & distinctive. The music was very enjoyable. We had mid-room seats & could hear & see well. It was very busy on a Tuesday night, they turned people away, so definitely make reservations.
This place is incredible. Great musicians & great gin & tonics at an affordable price. The service is on point & the workers are attentive & chatty. Sans doute une belle place a fréquenter.

Absolutely amazing experience!! From the lovely ambience, to the incredible music & delicious food, the three of us left 💯 impressed with our experience! The food was reasonably priced & very high quality, the drinks pretty expensive & the music awesome 👏 🎶 🎼 🎵 😎
