Very authentic street food experience (complete with your choice of dips/sauces) in a clean, trendy atmosphere. Decent price too. The modern Filipino spot the Montreal food scene needs - 11/10 would come back!
Top notch Filipino restaurant, very flavourful & authentic. Everybody is super kind, I'll definitely be coming back here often 👌
Try the balut!!
Tusok-Tusok has been serving Filipino street food since opening in Montreal, & it's great to see a spot dedicated to the snacks many Filipinos grew up enjoying. It might even be one of the first places in the city to focus almost entirely on authentic Filipino street food, which makes it worth checking out.
The kwek-kwek is a must-order-the batter is crispy & flavorful, especially with the signature sauce. I also highly recommend the grilled intestines (isaw), which are well-grilled & bring back that true street food experience.
The only downside is the pricing. The portions are on the smaller side for what you pay, but considering they're operating out of a large commercial space in Montreal, it's understandable that rent & overhead likely play a role in the cost.
Overall, if you're craving authentic Filipino street food or want to introduce someone to these classic snacks, Tusok-Tusok is definitely worth a visit.
