The freshness & quality of the ingredients shone through in every dish. The overall expectation was superb & I highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal. The owner was so kind & welcoming making the experience even more special.
One of my favorite Caribbean places ever not just Montreal the doubles are amazing stew chicken & BBQ chicken plate are my go too plates honest I eat it twice a week there that delicious the bossman there is a legend
I ordered plain rotis at this restaurant, & it exceeded my expectations! The roti was freshly made, with a perfect texture that was smooth & soft. It was generously sized, hot, & served just the right way. The best part? It felt light & healthy, making it the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Definitely a must-try for anyone who appreciates simple, quality food! Excellent service, guys! Keep the great work going!
Great place for some authentic caribbean food. Whatever you choose, get a dessert & drink for the full experience.
I used to love ordering the jerk chicken from here! Unfortunately they now use chicken legs instead of the thighs & it's not as good. Also it seems like there is a lot less jerk seasoning & sauce
Been going since I was child, best Caribbean food on the Island, amazing service & amazing taste
Portion généreuse, nourriture à couper le souffle, propriétaire vrm gentille 10/10🤌🏾
3.5 stars - Despite the food actually being fairly good, & some of the better Caribbean i've had in Montreal, I had a few issues with our order. First & foremost, the double was not a double. By definition a double contains a chickpea curry so I was expecting that plus the protein (chicken) & the traditional sauces. No chickpeas (thus no curry) & no sauce, just over cooked / dry chicken. The flavor of the chicken was good but still very disappointing as a meal. The jerk chicken plate, again tasted good, but was also over cooked & dry, even the dark meat. Again no hot sauce or anything to help with moisture. Ive never ordered from a Caribbean restaurant that didn't give hot sauce &/or picklez on the side. Also everything comes in a trio which means pop & rice. We don't drink pop & find it odd to give rice with a roti. No option to choose what your side or drink is. (I would have gladly taken sorrel & coleslaw.) I feel like more flexibility in ordering would have enhanced the meal.
So something I've learned about this place is that the food is premade & just heated in the microwave. This is probably the reason I got food poisoning for 3 days. I ate the goat roti & got so sick overnight & could not keep anything in my system for days.
My new go to place for a quick lunch grab ! i love the doubles & the plantains 🙂↕️
Best Carribean food I've had in 25 years!!! Took recommendations for goat rotie & I couldn't eat the whole thing, so delicious 😋 & homemade hot sauce (scotch bonnets) was worth the extra heat! 🔥💪 Took the rest home for lunch or Kate night snack. Recommend you get off the Decarie for this.
Delicious food & great cook, I've ordered multiple times over the past years. The jerk chicken is 10/10, the curry goat roti is also 10/10. You can't really go wrong when ordering out or eating in, the food is always 10/10 The prices might be a little high but it's worth the price you're paying i've never regretted it once ordering a $50-$60 meal from here. I always receive great quality compared to other less desirable Caribbean places.
