Tripolis est décrit comme un restaurant grec chaleureux, avec des saveurs authentiques, des portions généreuses et une ambiance familiale; des plats phares comme le poulpe grillé, les calamars et le demi poulet grec avec pommes de terre et salade reçoivent des éloges, tout comme le service chaleureux et l'atmosphère conviviale, bien que les heures de pointe puissent rendre l'endroit bondé et que le placement près de la cuisine donne l'impression d'une attention moindre; certains plats étant trop cuits ou coûteux et le tzatziki n'est pas toujours inclus.
We had our corporate Christmas celebrations at Tripoli Restaurant & I must say the food was delicious, portions were very generous. Service was excellent ! It's a must try !
If you are looking for volume & lower price point you can't go wrong. However don't expect a Milos type food experience. Great for hungry larger groups, portions are very generous.

After working late yesterday, we decided to try Tripoli on a week night. I don't remember the food ever being so good! We ordered the cold Pikilia & it was plentiful. Everything on the plate was delicious from the Kopanisti, Tzantziki, to the beets, & herring. I must have eaten 3 slices of bread with it. We then shared a 2 stick souvlaki plate (one chicken & one pork) with the flat potatoes, & the everything salad. Everything was tasty, cooked to perfection, & I appreciate they did not use a lot of salt. The superior ingredients spoke for themselves , we took leftovers & today they are just as good. The price was also reasonable. Great to see new ownership doing a great job!
The food was amazing, & everything we ordered was delicious, I never had such delicious calamari they melted in your mouth you didn't even need to eat it with a sauce that speaks volumes, the chicken stick was cooked to perfection it was crispy on the outside & super tender on the inside. The fried vegetables & tzatziki were perfect there wasn't too much batter on it & the seasoning was just right. The portions are very generous. We had plenty to take home. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Well my friends I had stopped going there because of bad service, BUT...Now for some reason all new people working their end it was amazing from beginning to the End.....

What an incredible experience, great young owner with this monument of an establishment this place will for sure live forever with this service, quality etc it was all perfect we will be back
One of the best places to have greek food in the area. The food was amazing & did not disappoint, the service was on point & the house wine was really good. Will for sure revisit!!
The most authentic authentic Greek restaurant in all of Montreal! Don’t hesitate to ask the waiters to translate the daily special from the greek menu in the back! Stuffed peppers, veal, lamb… Love you guys!

Fresh food, cooked to perfection. Very generous portions. Excellent service, great for family outings. If you love greek food, this is a definite place to visit! We will definitely go back.
This restaurant is a typical Greek style diners, no decor whatsoever, but the food is fresh & good.
We were 4 people on a busy Saturday night, place was packed with mostly Greek diners, which is a sign the food is authentic & good.
It’s a family style dining experience, where you order several dishes for everyone to share.
Appetizers: Octopus was good, Calamars also good, fried Zucchini were okay but too much batter & oily, the Tzatziki sauce was really thick & light , not too much garlic, simply delicious. The Greek salad was also very fresh & good.
We ordered a kilo of lamb for our main course; it was really good & more than enough for four people...with all the entrees & bread/tzatziki, this was plenty of food.
dessert: Loukomades ,which are fried pastry dough balls drizzled with Honey , warm & delicious.
Wine list was okay, prices were extremely reasonable, some starting at $30-$40
Price wise, it is very reasonable, approx $150 per couple with tax & tip.
I would recommend it for a casual night out with friends that have good appetites.
Went with the girlfriend & her parents for a nice night out. If you want souvlaki on pita, look elsewhere. But if you want authentic Greek food, then this is the place!
We had the octopus, taramosalata, tzatiki as starters & they were fantastic; the tzatiki was thick & tasty - not runny like you get at other places. Octopus with capers coulda been a meal unto itself.
Dinner was lamb (by the kilo) with sides of potatoes, rice & greek salad. I highly recommend trying the oven roasted potatoes with lemon...I prolly put on 5 lbs with those alone.
Dessert was the little dough balls (dunno what they're called) with honey & yoghurt...OMG, I stuffed myself.
