A small, tucked-away restaurant with a great vibe, you could tell everything was freshly made.
I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered small portions just to sample a bit of everything.
The aroma & presentation of the food were amazing!
The person taking my order was attentive & got everything just right. The only thing I would have preferred is for the falafel to be served a bit hotter to bring out its full flavor, but overall, the food quality was excellent.
Prices are slightly higher compared to similar places, but the freshness & care in preparation make it feel worth it.
Best'quick' food in all of Montreal. Food is offered cafeteria style but it suffers no malaise of quality. Flavours are diverse & nuanced. Staff are kind & knowledgeable. Atmosphere is relaxed & conducive to both a quick bite or sitting & hanging for a while. They also sell their food for home preparation. This place rocks!
An excellent spot with a wide variety of food & great service. The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste, but overall, the price-to-quality ratio is good. This cafe holds a special place in our heart - it opened about 12 years ago, during our final year at the nearby Conservatoire, & it quickly became our go-to spot for daily lunches. A truly memorable place
Have eaten, their food about 20 times over the last one year. The staff is the best thing at this place, they are welcoming smile, patient listening to the different combo replacements substitutes that I asked for, & always willing to add the extra sauce to my rice. The decor is homey, a few retro, vintage, knickknacks from around the world, just like my place. The food, hmm. The choices are plenty, the takeout prepared food ready to go home & eat is better than the fresh ,. Why so a Mediterranean cuisine is healthy because of its freshness & quality ingredients, freshness is a hit or miss in the prepared (plats chauds) food section. the goods: Mujadara ( lentil +rice ) is a winner, sn the chick pea stew, also the bassa fillet, with mild spices. My gripe: tabouli salad, doesn't have fresh parsley- definately ot made everyday/day of today: how is that possible 8 out of 10 times this is my experience. Summer sexy salad =cucumbers - at least a day old with fresh tomatoes - phew. Holy moly guacamole- avocado was fresh- the rest was recycled. the food is visually appealing, the choices are plenty, the decor/endroit is clean+pleasant, the staff is gracious & friendly, prices are avg plateau, ($$) the food............room for improvement.
A small place, with little space to eat-in, but if you're at the street market on Mont-Royal, there's always places to sit outside. I grew up on Lebanese food cooked by good family friends, food from this restaurant is the real thing. Their pitas, made in-house, are super soft &, well, perfect. Everything there is full-flavour, I like to go sometimes & pick up things there for a picnic as there are many dishes to choose from, a wide variety of pre-packaged tubs (hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanoush, etc.) & hot meal items. I'm not able to be in this neighbourhood without my tastbuds watering. If you want to be satisfied with the quality of food for your money, & feel well-fed (I'm sure there's love in that food), eat here.
