Toasties earns broad praise for fresh ingredients, incredibly tasty subs, and consistent quality, with many calling it the best sandwich spot in Montreal and on the West Island. The sandwiches are described as outstanding and addictive, and the value comes with the daily sub of the day plus a drink, tax included. Staff are frequently noted as friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in delivering a great experience, with fast service that keeps things moving. The place is loved for its neighborhood vibe and repeat visits, and many plan to return whenever in the area. Some comments mention the small size and parking challenges, but the quality and taste make the tradeoffs worth it, and it is often cited as a standout alternative to larger chains. Overall, Toasties is seen as a dependable, high quality sub shop that consistently delivers on flavor, freshness, and service, earning strong, long term appeal.
This is the best Sandwich spot in Montreal. Ive been going here for over 10 years & their sandwiches never miss the mark. I would recommend the CBC or the Italian. I know the philly is great as well. Great staff, great food, would go there over any place in town.
This place is absolutely delicious! The bread is what makes it so good & quality ingredients!. ***If the owner sees this please please please make a breakfast sandwhich option🤤. This bread is sooo good & definitely an option on the menu is "Annis Breaky" which consists of a popped egg, mozzarella cheese & bacon(then all the toppings/toasties sauce🤌🏻🤤). Would be killer & I think a too seller. I hope you guys continue the great quality of ingredients. I highly recommend this place👌🏻***
Had a quick lunch here with my wife & ordered 2 different sandwiches so we can share & compare. First I'd like to say if you do come at lunchtime pls have some patience because they are busy with store customers & pick up orders.. but to me, it's a sign of a good restaurant when you're that busy! The staff were polite & friendly & very customer service oriented. I had an Italian sandwich & my wife the Philly, the ingredients they add to compete the sandwiches were generous, fresh & delicious. The sauces are phenomenal!.. as for the sandwiches themselves, The Italian was excellent.. the Philly lacked a bit of flavour but none the less we will be back to try the other sandwiches on the menu. I do recommend 👌
Subs are an interesting food in Montreal. They either come from the oversaturated chains of the like of Subway, from those diner-style fast food restaurants or pizza spots. This makes Toasties a bit of a unique restaurant as they specialize in it but are not a big chain. The result - amazing subs that are made fast. They remind me of Quizno's at their prime before they fell off in the early 10's. The meat & toppings are average quality, but they source some good submarine bread which makes a significant impact. I forgot my water bottle here & one of the workers came out to give it to me so props to them for good service too. If you work in the area, definitely check this place out on your lunch break sometime.

I've been going here for over a decade, dating back to when they were a hole in the wall next to a vape shop & a tattoo joint. My go-to had been the Philly Steak, but I recently switched it up to the CBC (pictured here). These toasted subs are one of a kind; I appreciate how they wrap them, allowing for a much cleaner experience than other sub joints, & their ingredients are always fresh. The macros are solid at this joint &, if you're looking for a good post-workout meal, there's plenty of options for you. A West Island staple for sure.
